i don't get all the comments about it being boring because it shares styling dna with the db9 and siblings. they are some of the finest looking cars ever made imho.
I don't think people have ever accused them of not being pretty, but no matter how good a joke is, you don't want to tell it again and again and again. SSCooperS said:
Is it just me, or does it look like a slightly elongated Toyota GT-86 in profile?
Agreed. Very similar silhouette. My first instinct upon seeing the profile shot was that it looked like some sort of 599, but after a split second longer I realised that Ferrari would NEVER allow one of their cars to be painted brown. dtrump said:

That's a hell of an expensive way to look so cheap. Aston have been out of ideas for a long time.
most accurate comment so farThe floor is yours. You have to suggest ideas which the end customer would want. That's people with 200k to spend not the majority of us who don't have a 10th of that to spend on a car. Your idea has to appeal to people across the globe, from different backgrounds and cultures. Your idea has to be able to be engineered into the car, it has to be within the development budget & can't add cost or weight to the car, it has to satisfy legal requirements for all markets and tested for durability, pass crash tests the list goes on.
Much better pictures here:

Think I'll reserve judgement until I see one in daylight.

Lovely looking thing (colour apart).
Appears to be available in 2+2 and 2+0.

I really was unsure of the car when it was originally shown in red at Villa d'Este but looking at the brown car in the article and the silver car posted later on my opinion has changed.
I still think the front splitter is too over styled but apart from that I think it looks superb (in the right colour).
Hopefully there will be one at Goodwood, I'd like to see what it looks like in the flesh.

Jesus, people really are hard to please aren't they?!
You give an Aston a nice, understated look that plays on it's previous architecture (much like Porsche with the 911) and "oh it's so plain and boring"
Spruce it up with the limited funds you have - people seem to assume they have billions sat in the bank to pour into R&D to develop loads of radically different cars - and people complain that "it's fussy and over styled. Looks like a halfords jobby"
Just appreciate the inherent beauty of an AM car. Plus no one seems to have noticed it's got an extra 60hp on tap, making it much more competitive with the likes of the SLS and the Bentleys...
Right, rant over. I think it's a great car, the styling will appeal to the younger audience that AM needs to aim for if they want to keep themselves afloat whilst providing more discreetly styled GT cars for their more traditional customer base
