Makes me laugh all this.
Lets face it, there is some pretty skilled drivers on this forum but I bet not one of them or even learner driving gods like mat777 could get within 1 minute of Blocks times round any WRC stage. Yes there is hugley more talented drivers on the WRC but these guys have been doing rallying for more years than I care to remember, they grew up with it, lived and breathed it. What Block has done is mananged to get himself to the party which is more than can be said for the likes of Mat777 who might get himself an invite to the party at www.mulletsgalore.com

I think he is doing a pretty good job actually.
Sure hes not the best WRC in the world (and probably never will be) but he is doing something that WRC has needed for a while, Promoting it to new viewers.
His antics get a lot of non WRC fans (yoofs and yanks) to take a look.
Good job in my book.

Currently a 2nd year undergraduate the University of Bristol, studying Aeronautical Engineering.
If it has wheels, an engine or wings, I'm usually interested in it (or a skirt for that matter..)
A middle-Englander who also happens to be a massive American-o-phile, who likes 80s big-hair rock and leans more to UKIP than studenty left wing causes: I'm not your average 20 year old!
Fings wot I 'ave driven:
Boring stuff:
- Small eurobox hatchbacks with L Plates on them
Interesting Stuff:
- Various Land Rovers
- Daimler Ferret armoured scout car
- Alvis Spartan APC
- Miniature traction engines
- Fowler 10-ton Steamroller
- A variety of sports quad bikes
- Biz twin 5.5hp-engined Pro cart

Surely you meant to post this as a comment on YouTube? It would fit so well on there and you could then open a 'debate' with a mass debating society of 8 to 18 year old's who have all the answers, but no real experience, but who feel able to 'learn you good' with every new comment.
Unduly harsh. He's 20. He's still rocking the big "L", but he's over 18. Just.
Besides, everyone knows the ones who know least, know it all.

No Ken, you're not a rally driver. Rally drivers have skill. The only reason you look remotely skilled on your stunt shows I'd because you practice them hundreds of times. When you actually try and do proper men's rallying you always crash because you cant deal with an unpredictable route. Now shut up and go have another can of Monster, you annoying little

Ridden shot-gun next to Ken a few times - he's a v.v.v.talented driver. His performance in WRC events says much more about the skill levels of the best drivers, and the accumulated knowledge gleaned graduating through lower formulae into top-level sport than it does about his purported 'lack' of skill. If you sat next to him on a gravel stage on Rally GB, you'd climb out pretty bamboozled. It's impressive, but Loeb is on another level. Ken freely admits that.
He's just a normal bloke who happened to found a shoe company, flog it for a mint, do some skids in his spare time and build a franchise around those skids that is rivalling the Super Bowl as a commercial sponsorship opportunity.I'd say that was pretty impressive.
He's also attracting a whole new, young audience to motor sport and car enthusiasm. We all owe him a pint for that.
He's also a good bloke.

Just wondering why you picked my comment to make your point? especially when there were far more scathing comments from others. I will also add, that my comment was meant in good humour & no malicious intent towards the O.P.

What a conservative lot we have on here, if you dont win in top flight Rallying you are rubbish, he has only been at it since 2005. I think there is an element of not wanting flashy yanks invading the world of Thermos flasks and Anoraks, I love rallying but it is a bit staid and serious. I think peopel want it to be Brits and Scandinavians, an American accent just doesnt sound right and they should stick to Oval racing and dragsters.
Like it or not Ken Block is probably more well known to more people than all the Scandinavian legends, all the kids see Ken Block on their Xbox games, he is a massive name and pretty talented, good at what he does but I think learning to win against the old guard will take longer, plus he is well into his forties.
I for one would like to see the American manufacturers give WRC a go, nobody minds the Japanese geting involved, lets see what the Americans can do, might be a shot in the arm for the sport.
