i get pIssed off every time i read these forums due to the absolute opinionated bullsh!t that is spouted on here... with all the fabulous ideas all these armchair wizards have i'm suprised there was ever a recession... if you can do it better fellas, go ahead!
Not sure if serious...If so, you may have wandered onto the wrong forums if you're looking for something other than raging opinion.

I owned a Mini Cooper S -supercharged one and it was a pretty good car, well built, fun to drive the mini brand sucks you in. The Mini marketing dept are very good at what they do, took a brand and made it fashionable and accessable again and just keep churing out what people want. Aimed at 20 - 30 somethings with a bit of cash for the cooper and older people who want to be 20-30 but have the cash to add all the extras and make it 30k worth of car. People might hate it but Mini are one of the few european car brands expanding all the time. More of these to come!
I dont like it though, the car you never needed.
Well i found them to be twitchy and unpredictable the LSD just made this worse, the early(ish) run flat tyres were made of plastic, and they did the same MPG as a North Sea tug.I dont like it though, the car you never needed.
Why such a low score then?
Love how it gets a 2.5 (utter dross) and PistonHeads etc are telling us "everybody" loves them.
Everybody where?
Ill take a guess,
EVERYBODY in the marketing departments of the companies earning huge profits for these tat-mobiles and also the advertising departments of magazines (and internet forums) who get paid to advertise the same tat as "awsome with wheels on it"?

As much as I dislike both these cars, I do like the fact that someone thought about and cares enough to try to do something different. Mainstream cars are generally not things of beauty, either externally or internally, just look at the usual boring dross that normally comes from the likes of VW and Peugeot. I take these cars as a marker for recognition that people want something different and I look forward to the day when, at least, some of that different is pretty...

Pros: You sit higher and can see more.
...then everybody and his dog gets an SUV/SoftRoader for exactly this reason then it's back to square one since now 80% of vehicles on the road are of similar proportions, and everyone else who has a normal car can't see round/over/past you. What's next, automotive stilts? Why not just have a normal size car and a periscope? FWIW I think they're both hideous, the Juke looks like it was designed by someone who really wanted a Sport Multipla and the Mini is, frankly, offensive. On the flip side they've made the Evoque and X1/X3 look half decent by comparison.

Nothing can make an X1 look anything other than utterly horrendous in my view, especially in the very appropriate 'turd brown'. I saw my first one in Monaco a couple of years ago and even in that setting there was simply no forgiving it!FWIW I think they're both hideous, the Juke looks like it was designed by someone who really wanted a Sport Multipla and the Mini is, frankly, offensive. The thing is - each to their own. I don't blame the manufacturers for building something that sells, I blame the people buying them.
I like the fact that there's diversity in design; weirdly enough I actually quite like the look of the Juke.
But every time I see a Countryman on the road i think knob. Apologies for those owners reading this. For those who say you shouldn't make judgements - why on earth not? It's exactly the same as judging someone by what they're wearing. Perfectly rational, as long as you're then prepared to revise your judgement when presented with more to go on than first impressions.
What a load of bks. See, I haven't seen what you drive but I think knob when I read your post. For more substantial reasons.I like the fact that there's diversity in design; weirdly enough I actually quite like the look of the Juke.

Funny that.
Well done to PH for resisting the obvious 'Performance crossovers gaining traction' pun.
The thing I don't quite get with these cars is they're almost always aimed at affluent family types who could afford to get a family bus and something to play around in at the weekends. I guess a MINI Paceman just has more badge appeal at the crèche than turning up in a second hand B-Max with an Elise in the garage for weekends...

Exactly, so fine for the sad, sad individuals who seem to place more on assuming other people give a toss what badge they drive than actually sorting their lives out and getting what they actually want for themselves. The thing I don't quite get with these cars is they're almost always aimed at affluent family types who could afford to get a family bus and something to play around in at the weekends. (By the way I admit that some people buy Jukes and Pacemans for themselves, so fall outside that category but people who care so much about image and appearance, well I have no time for them really).
Yours, someone with a secondhand estate car and an Elise in the garage (for driving, not for posing).

says the guy in the Renault Clio
A Clio isn't really trying to make a statement IMHO so not a fair comparison. I neither love nor hate the 300C but it certainly can't be described as 'beautiful' as the person who stuck the pictures up suggested, nor are the others in my view.
