I usually have 2 or 3 colours I want with a favorite / preference, as for buying the worst color on the list, no chance, I'd just wait a while longer til something suitable turned up.

Those looks alright to me.
I like it.
Me too really. If there was a Passat Estate in that colour I wanted I would be happy to buy it.

OP, the extras make the car a LOT more comfy to use over the next years...

I really quite like the colour. It almost looks a bit mint or undetcoaty.. I'd be happy with it.

I'd rather an actual £6k saving in my back pocket.. Can you push them further?

OP do you actually dislike the colour Misty Blue colour or just wouldn't choose it? I think I'd take the extra toys (pan roof, nav and speaker upgrade sound quite appealing) and put up with having a toothpaste coloured car biggrin
I don't hate it and I'm actually surprised that there isn't a single colour on the list that I hate. I like the car because it's 'different' and I suppose I can't allow the colour to be 'different' as well.

I always buy second hand. Colour isn't too important.

I'll have colours to avoid.. this changes depending on what car I'm looking at.. But I'd happily buy a car in 1 of 3 or 4 colours. I'm buying second hand because i can't afford to buy new - I can't afford to be picky!

I'd intend pushing them for more.

I'd go for the better spec, I'm impatient.

Bit of a hypocrite though as I'm car hunting and I want a red one, but I can afford to faff because they only came in four colours, and there are no optional extras, everything is standard. Lucky me. hehe

Just to clarify, this is a private purchase rather than a company car ?

Because if a company car, you would be taxed on the retail value of the ex-demo model and at presumably a higher rate than that for the one you ordered.

It's important to me, but the colour depends on the actual car, I really have no favourite colour but I do have colour preferences depending on the car.

I actually went to order white for my current BMW but they offered the same spec car that was in stock in estoril blue for the same money, both were my preferred choices so I was made up.

If I had to settle / compromise on colour then I probably wouldn't enjoy the car as much, unless it was a snotter.

I remember my Dad lending me a brown maestro when I was at college as I'd sold my car (he owned a car sales business) the car had a bit of a following at college because it was a st car in literally a st colour, everybody wanted a lift! hehe

Surely when you're actually driving it, you will appreciate the additional options that the Misty Blue one has? Given that it's not in an offensive colour, and you're probably not going to spend hours gazing at it, I'd go for the better spec'd car. Or see if there's a better value example available elsewhere.

I think I'm convinced, I'll be spending 25k miles inside the car so that's the most important. I'll see if we can strike a good deal on it.
