Driven a few of these and are surprisingly tough old cars.Very agricultural and basic spec cars but did what they were made for. Probably can be likened to the present day Dacia range..

Subject to the advances over time. One is based on a 60s Fiat, the other on a 90s/noughties Renault. Given the respective customer expectations, I think that's a little harsh on the Dacia....but I understand the reference.

I'd rather drive a 60s Fiat.

I'd have saved it for the winter, would be a laugh. Sell it after if you haven't wrote it off.

You must have posted the wrong pic, that's a 90s Renault.

Please do or at least give me a clue on how to find it. The only one on the bay listed under the car category is the red estate in Cornwall. I'm interested in it.

I reckon that will sell. It would make a good beginner rally car for starters.

Been offered 500 quid in my hand tomorrow, what do you reckon?

It cost 3300 new in 1990 so that's pretty good retained value really!
He's offering £500 'cos he thinks it'll go for more than that. As he obviously knows more about the market for Rivas than you do I'd take his advice and leave it on there until the end.

Just had a look at your ad; looks fantastic!

Best of luck with the sale, I think you might be pleasantly surprised what it will go for.

it looks good you should get someone round this weekend who understands old/basic motors, bring a plug spanner, some release oil to put down the bores, new plugs, new petrol and some easy start and fire it up will get a lot more for it once its running.

That looks great, cool in its simplicity. I bet if you take the above advice ^^^ it probably will just work. The cockroach of the motoring world!

There is something appealing about that dash but why no fuel gauge yet a voltmeter? Also needs a rev counter adding.

Not so far wink

Isn't the unwritten rule that the OP can't post a link but others can

Whereabouts in West Yorkshire? Quite like to see it (with a view to bidding, not just noseying), I am up that way on Wednesday.

The guy that came today substantially improved his offer so its sold I'm afraid. I've no idea what he is going to do with it but I only have a week to get rid of if before the insurance runs out othe VX220 so I've taken the opportunity to get rid ASAP.

Considering I was hoping to get a hundred quid for is scrap value I'm more than happy!
