Who cares where it was? Or even if it's true?
Why does every thread on here end with people dedicating their whole night to prove the OP wrong?
Because its the type of wker PH attracts, all big headed know it alls who inexplicably must have factual proof of absolutely EVERTHING no matter what. These type usually sit in the corner of the local pub and are usually known as the pub bore who when confronted face to face will st themselves but are plenty brave behind the keyboard..Why does every thread on here end with people dedicating their whole night to prove the OP wrong?

LOL To make matters worse, One of the do-gooders on this very thread giving the boy grief for speeding is the same guy I have witnessed being over 100mph racing on the M8 near Airdrie.
fking hilarious.
Lol good spot the knobs on pistonheads in every tread now where they are allowed to speed but no one else can (rule for one totally different for another) fking hilarious.
Personally I speed on occasions so the op can do what he wants good for you for enjoyinging the car and even better for not getting caught.
Lol my speeding is obviously on private runway I purchased by my house

To be fair, I like to light the after burners in the Airdrie vicinity, get past as quickly as possible. It's operational prudence when in spoon burner territory.fking hilarious.

What's your problem?
I got done coming off a roundabout doing 43 in a 40. And then ON A SEPARATE OCCASION I was on a track, get this... On another day too! Imagine that.
Interesting read, can you just confirm you actually got the points applied for 43 in a 40? I have dealt with a number of cases, and assisted on many more - yet have no knowledge of such a low 40's speed being prosecuted.I got done coming off a roundabout doing 43 in a 40. I didnt challenge it. I knew i was speeding.I took the speed awareness course so no points. About the 400bhp scooby, my car is 10 years old so its quite possible the speedo is a bit out of whack. It seemed like it could of reached 155 which I doubt would be accurate if the handbook claims top of 147 on a new car. It was definitely quicker than 120 -130 though as that's usually the time I think 'ohh this is quick' we were WAY beyond that haha.
It had a brand new clutch and flywheel in it. 98 Ron fuel. Injector cleaner just added (mmm smooth) I took the spare wheel out and me and my mate between us weigh about the same as a baby sparrow haha. I think the 650i, what are they 300bhp?, I think he was worried about the two crazy guys in the car behind him (my mate was going ballistic) so he must of eased off hehe. Whatever we were doing though, it was quick.
I'm waiting for the official specs of the mk3 to look at getting one. Unofficial rumours say 300bhp, 4wd, LSD. Should be a really good car.

I can't think of many (if any) tracks in this country where a car so heavy and comparatively slow could hit 150mph?
It depends on your definition of "Track".2 x remapped Octavia vRS, back straight at Bruntingthorpe. Both went through the speed trap at 144mph. One of them was my old car. A remapped Cupra R will do 150 i think but it will need the best part of 2 miles to do it.
As for the BMW Driver, if he exists then he wasn't trying.

What I fail to understand is why everyone lies about not speeding on the public highway. Do you think police will arrest you if you admit to doing 145mph down the M1 last year like I did?
Disclaimer, above statement is not true, I was going up the M1
For me the issue is not getting caught but having posts where you have admitted speeding etc used against you in court, that has certainly happened, your character could be called into question should you do something really serious.Disclaimer, above statement is not true, I was going up the M1
Love the username.

This thread gives a good example of how many miserable tossers there are on here, and I'm not talking about the OP.
Yes, I think the OP conducted himself well, it's a shame some feel they have to try and drive people off the forum. Glad you got the information you were looking for, OP
Even Garlick stuck a boot in early on!
I'm waiting for somebody to call custard on the Nurburgring
Or 'eres.
Seriously, I've driven over the limit on pretty much every road there is.
I also used to say far too much on internet forums about how I liked driving quickly. It ultimately helped get me locked up.
So when I hear noddy's like the OP go on about 150mph racing nonsense, then they backtrack repeatedly, I just want to say 'nooooo!'. Stop, think about what you're doing (and saying, and where you're saying it).
Pistonheads doesn't need associating with such comments, to be fair.

This is going to go down like a lead balloon, but I have personally seen an indicated 150mph from a red '03 Cupra, so for once I believe him. This car was mapped, bigger turbo, intercooler and exhaust. They wouldn't be my thing at all but I was very very impressed with how it went. The previous owner estimated it to be between 260 and 280 bhp.
This surprises me, as my car will manage closer to 160mph with only 220bhp.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
