Of course it was a joke 1-series is a shopping trolley which have a good performance but totally dull and numb althogeter. Number one answer in PH tho...These two cars? Jesus.... I love that video, one of the best car vids what i have ever seen. Totally classic. Would James Bond drive those cars? Definetly yes!
Excellent vid, 11/10. Ta
But, I'm curious... IIRC, when Car mag tested the F40 when it was new, its test team didn't rate it because the set-up was much too firm/skittish on road, yet it had too much roll/slop on track. In short, it was a spartan, poorly finished track-type car that didn't work on a track.
Yet, every car journo who drives an F40 today seems to rate it as the dog's doo-dahs.
All of which begs the following questions: have F40 owners revamped their cars' OE suspension? Or was Car's test car a duffer? Or did Car get it wrong? Or are current road testers so overwhelmed by the F40's 'analogue' spec compared to today's computer-aided equivalents that they're ignoring/oblivious to the shortcomings that were apparent to Car?
