When I heard about this new Porsche SUV I rolled my eyes and thought 'here we go' but I love it, quick, compact enough and I suspect in diesel format reasonably economical.

I suspec in the flesh it looks better still.

Where do i sign?

Really thought prices would start in the mid thirties (hopeful I know!). Still, I actually like it. A diesel Macan actually makes sense as a long term daily driver for many people and it'll sell more than the Evoque.

Also, what an ass!

It is beautifully overlapped with the Audi Q5 and S5 pricing wise. I prefer the interior in the (Terry) Macan though much more hi brow.

Macan sounds a bit like McCann, I much prefer the Terry version, being a fictional character rather than a small child that was abducted I think it is less likely to offend, or I guess Porsche Macan is fine also.

Just a Q3 Deluxe really (and it looks like a Weeble which has managed to fall over), but Land Rover need to find some proper engines and quickly.

A sign of the times for the affluent. Likely to be used more as a statement than as a car.

If it's as far ahead of the competition as the Cayenne was when it arrived (that's unlikely - the Cayenne was ugly-as-hell but it drove 100 times better than other SUVs at the time) it will be lovely.

I suspect the competition has caught-up a bit tho - the best car around when the Cayenne arrived was the X5 which, whilst better than the tat which made-up the SUV market at that point, wasn't remotely in the Cayenne's league.

Not that purchases will likely notice or care - Porsche could have rebadged the Zafira for 90% of the clientele...

SQ5 is 313PS Bi turbo TDi? Even the normal Q5 TDi is 245PS, where do they get 230PS from?

Oops, too late with this.

Dull, dull ,dull.

Did I mention dull??

I just can't get excited by these over specced shopping trolleys - give me a 'normal' car any day.

Compact, handles well, gobbles the family and the dog, 0-60 in 5 seconds or 6 seconds and 40mpg, sublime interior, incredibly comfortable (if it is like the Q5) and rock solid residuals.

Yeah, you would have to be a fkwit to buy one. rolleyes

Haters will always hate, they were going to hate it before they even clicked on the link.

Our Cayenne is exactly a year old, and has done 8,000 miles. It has lost less than 10% of its value. Not too many "Dull SUV's" have those sort of residuals.
