Anthony Reid is a legend for still being on it with no visibility.
Just not quite as much of a legend as Simon Hadfield who blasted past him with equally bad visibility leaving Reid to spin into the mud wink

I know this is Pistonheads and Chris did well to hand over in the lead but the Hadfield in the Aston blitzed the Lister, ACs and everyone else when the rain came down and confused the hell out of Reid who simply couldn't keep up. hehe

What a superb film. Definitely some 'unfinished business' for Mr Harris here at Goodwood!

This year's Revival weekend was broadcast in its entirety as a live stream on YouTube. It was a bit of an experiment so there wasn't much prior publicity, but to our surprise the technology worked. (The racing footage in this film was all shared from our live broadcast, in fact.)

So we are currently planning to 'live stream' both FoS and Revival on the Goodwood YouTube channel in 2014.

It's never going to be as special as being here, but it should be pretty good! smile

Wow! Heart was in mouth when Chris went for the pass 3 in to 1 at the restart! Wonderful video...should be titled Spirit of Motor Racing!

And the noise of that Jag! Wow! Spine tingling!

Just wonderful.

There's always next year.
Try Spa 6 Hrs - it's a similar splendid event.

Superb stuff and racing like it's meant to be.

Cheers.

As a lurker, I also wanted to comment this was an amazing video. Was holding my breath as the car spun. Probably one of the best racing videos ever.

Having to wipe the windscreen to see out whilst racing at speed in someone else's unique car...balls of steel and ridiculous talent! And what a great guy Richard Frankel must be to let his cars be raced by other people. Makes me remember the last time I went to the revival, very evocative video, really captured it, amazing!

Chris you said in the video that your not likely to get another chance at the TT. Going on that performance for a first timer they will be kicking the door down for you.

Proper three act film-making production, the set-up, the action, the final pay-off.

I was on the edge of my seat, gesticulating and oh-ahing towards the end.

Neil is getting very good at these videos indeed.

One of my favourites already, and great to see some proper racing smile

Topically, may I pose a question ? If our national broadcaster had made that film, how much would it of cost, and how many bodies would have been required to bring it to fruition ? Suspect the completed article should be shown to some of those highly paid civil servants that so thoughtlessly spend our money . Another amazing job by Mr.Harris and his team. My thanks and admiration to "the Frankel's" for allowing these wonderful nutters to race such a fabulous machine , and to allow it to be shared with us all .

As an aside, I would throughly enjoy seeing a pairing of Andrew Frankel and Chris Harris on some of these Drive videos, as Frankel is one of my favourite motoring writers and gives some honest opinions.

Frankel could be Morecambe to Harris' Wise wink

That is a superb video.

The noise during the in-car footage of the race start is fantastic.

I love the way those old cars take a set in the corners.

Good driving too!

It looked very hairy when it got wet. It seemed to suit that Aston though.

Well done Monkey & co., both with your driving performance and the high standard of the vid. Didn't make the revival this year, but Goodwood circuit always has a unique 'warm fuzzy' atmosphere, even on quiet days where there isn't much going on. I, too, would be surprised if Harris isn't invited to drive again next year.

Interesting to see Alesi using a Ferrari worth an entire street of houses as a BTCC-style battering ram!

The event, the cars, the close racing, the video edit and the narration were all done brilliantly. Congratulations to all involved. Somehow I think CH will get another invite next year.
