I'm Italian myself, but I would have to say that a lot of talk about style, design, charisma, sense of occasion, and so on is, frankly, just a front by people trying to justify slower cars they've bought.

Cars like the GTR will smash these overpriced "works of art" into the middle of next week, and if you happen to pull up next to one, you'll just know it your boots, and the depths of your soul, that you're about to get the most comprehensively embarrassing spanking an adult can receive in public, if you even think about trying it.

Far better to slink off, avoid the inevitable loss of face / manhood, and for gods sake, don't pull up next to the GTR at the next set of lights unless you enjoy motoring colonoscopies.

What do our American cousins say? When the flag drops, the bullst stops.
roflI haven't done a traffic light grand prix since my last Scalextric set aged 11,and nor has any of my car enthusiast mates as far as I'm aware.. If I see a GTR, I think " nice car/good choice" not "oh st I'd better hide". Irrespective of whether I'm in the GTS, the M400. the Rover 75 or the company van..
Bizarre comment.

I think GT-R pilots look more like this:

We're on a motoring website, and you would have us believe you're driving Miss Daisy, eh?

Perfect. Keep bringing on the BS, because it only reinforces what I'm saying.

Plenty of people enjoy a TLGP. If you don't, fine. The OAP lane is on the left buddy.

I don't indulge in Traffic Light Grand Prix's. Strangely though the reason isn't because I'm auditioning for Driving Miss Daisy 2. It's for the same reason as most sane minded people don't bother,it's because it makes you look like a Grade A cocksocket.

As for the that comical line above,I've now got visions of you starring in that 17 year old's wet dream film the TFATF (you seem to like abbreviations).

Second hand GTR and a trip to Lichfield?….
Not recommended. Often full of Japanese tourists and the M6 toll is overrated (never mind over priced).

Cocksocket, eh?

Good to see you come up with a well thought out counter. Plenty of empirical data to back that up, I'm sure. Hope that didnt strain you too much, nor take you too far out of your way to the old peoples home. By the way, since you were so quick to come up with that, I wonder if you are an expert on cocksockets? Innocent query on my behalf...

Just remember to keep left. In fact, what are you doing on a performance website anyway, mister "I'm too up myself to enjoy a little TLGP"? Perhaps cardigan wearers dot com is more your scene.

I've been on a performance car website for years because I like performance cars, and own and have owned several, including one at present that will happily do 0-100mph in 8 seconds, roughly the same as the GTR that I had a deposit on in 2008, that I did track days in and that you mention in every thread. Just because I don't find the need to prove how fast whatever I'm sat in is, at every single traffic light apparently makes me a cardigan wearing old codger rofl.
FFS give it a rest, and let car enthusiasts talk about cars, rather than racing away from traffic lights like little men with insecurities, as it's spoiling a decent thread.

Now if you'd said I was a cardigan wearing old codger because of my Rover 75,you may well have had a very good point wink

The granturismo is very much GT car, when it was launched people wanted more power and a sharper chassis, then we got the S, now that the MC stradale has four seats (shouldn't have been called that its not a GT3 rival it WAS DBS rival, should have been marketed so), its such a great car.

I think comparing the GTR to the GT is a little unfair, completely different aims, the Maserati was designed to be a pure GT car, comfortable and soothing yet have a sporty edge, then it evolved as people realised its chassis was really sweet despite its size and width (see EVO's 2007 test between the 4.2 and the 4.3 vantage, they commented on how the chassis would better the Aston if the car wasn't so big).

Although to be fair most cars seem crap value compared to the GT-R- M3s, Evos, Corvette z06, whatever quick, capable car, the GTR just makes them look slow, or overpriced.

That's sort of Japans thing though in the car world.

The only thing I don't like about the 2013 MC Stradale, is the steering wheel the old 2009 spec had more alacantra.

what a complete load of rubbish!

Love these Maseratis, always have. Such an event to look at, be in or drive... and the SOUND!?!?!? oh my god...

have a friends MC shift staying with me at the moment as he is selling it. Makes my own F430 sound very poor indeed in comparison. Truely amazing noise. Can't think of a car with 4 seats for the money that I would rather own... been reccomending them to friends for last few years. 4 of them have bought them in various specs and all loved them.

They are stunning value now for earlier ones. The one I have is up for £45k and is a 2009 low mile stunner! I am sorely tempted to buy it!

Not a good colour fore-sale unfortunately, although nothing wrong in my eye as they look great in any colour.
