I thought all SOTWs had to have current tax and MoT? Doesn't being SORN disqualify this car?

Otherwise it looks OK for £750.

I don't think we have to raise the bar to 2K yet. Would spoil part of the fun.
There are nice ones out there to be had:

Dialled out as soon as it mentioned auto. Stickers are laughable. RWD might've saved this but it's not. One to forget quickly...

The sad thing is, as a manual and without the ridiculous stickers, this would be a perfectly decent car for the money. That V6 is peachy smooth.

I quite like that, when these were new they were chariots for the properly posh, its a 740 with the sharp edges taken off, part of me wants one with a 500 bhp 2.3 turbo, manual box and a couple of feet taken out of the ride height.

Obviously the one in the picture above wont do this, it will, if you try such antics, lollop round, screeching, like an elderly, overweight Labrador with an immediate and pressing issue with its rear diff.

Exactly

As mentioned, these did well in group tests, a manual and the stickers removed would be a half decent car if a bit thirsty....

As someone pointed out further up, now the VED regs have changed it is no longer possible to transfer 'road tax' between owners - it is the buyer's responsibility to tax the vehicle at the time of purchase.

It's an ugly car from back when Volvo was synonymous with "rolling road block".

This is the sort of thing I'd do one of those charity banger rallies in. Complete with rubbish firebird-esque stickers!

90's coupe wise, I'm happy with my Fiat wink

Of the MX6 and it's sister the Probe, I'd take the former simply down to the name though. I just couldn't drive a car called the "Probe" with a straight face even though I actually quite like the styling. You can bin the 3-spoke "swirls" of the 2-litre though tongue out Do wonder how the MX drives as I once drove a similar era 626 (same platform?) and it was and still is the worst car I've ever driven. Was nearly new at the time too - all floaty and zero feedback through the wheel in a broken-arcade-machine kind of way. Not exactly the kind of car to drive enthusiastically, or if you want to stay awake, at all.

Of course, the JDM MX6 got all the good bits a lot of the rest of the world missed out on...4WS, digital climate control, aforementioned high-compression v6 and some bits from Mazdaspeed though styling in this sense is always an acquired taste... http://www.mx6.com/forums/2g-mx6-general/215922-ma...

Slow, thirsty, uninvolving, garish, boring, other MX-6 drivers will acknowledge you, the oil control rings will stop controling oil, the indicator stalk is on the wrong side, auto box etc etc etc......

Easily the worst shed ever

In the UK the indicator stalk should be on the right. It is every single other car which is wrong wink

I'd really like an MX-6... An MX-5 for the summer and the MX-6 for the winter, sounds a good pair to me.

It's way over budget for what it is. Same money would get you a fair chunk of Ford coupe significantly better condition.

That's absolutely horrid! Can't quite decide which is worse, this or the Metro shed?

Also, according to the 'vehicle enquiry' service on gov.uk its last MOT expired 2 1/2 years ago.

The JDM looks pretty good as 90s coupes go - reminds me of an S14

Even a manual,V6 Uk one offered GT86 performance with good handling and a smooth V6 so I'd be interested to see how the JDM was rated - like the TRD Sport M Celicas they never got tested here though - Mazda had quite a range of sporty cars back then, MX3, MX5, MX6 and RX7

Rubbish shed.

I almost bought one of these a few weeks back - 1995 MANUAL with fresh cambelt done.

£290.

I'd take that over this one any day...

The £800 Morgan pace car seems a better bet than this automatic
