I have to admit, this was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the question. It's a gorgeous black / dark purple flip colour, and pictures truly don't do it justice.

Toyota blackish red. My T350 is currently this colour and it looks amazing When the sun hits.

I know Mazda's radiant ebony mica was a limited edition paint colour in 2004, then again on the MX5 venture edition. Also been used for limited runs on the Mazda 2.. Not sure if it was used on the RX8.

Infiniti do a Malbec Black, might be the same as the Nissan colours though, since they're from the same family.
