Sometimes the management are just as responsible for poor quality as are the workers. Used to work for a company that made parts for a prestige midlands car manufacturer. Company got taken over by a bunch of d
head directors who immediately set about wrecking the company by selling off regular revenue earners to finace their 'vertical market' dreams on other products (which all went down the pan) They sold off nearly all the validation kit and staff, yet still expected the automotive product to be made. One day I was asked to do a product update and PPAP. When I pointed out that they's sold all the test kit their response was ... "can you just make up the numbers". So I did ... and presented a PPAP with figures generated using a random number generator. Whole fleets of cars running around with parts validated with the random number generator 
Anyway the dheads completed their task and the company is now closing down ... 150 jobs going
