I think its something to do with them billing him for a admin fee so he is going to bill them back for one to provide the documents?

Not quite sure really.

Am I the only person who hasn't got a clue what is going on here ?

The place charges 1.5% for a card fee but it's OK because the poster has a spare tyre at home. They call and ask for a copy of his insurance and, for some bizarre reason, he says he'll provide that but, instead, he sends them an invoice for payment. Poster claims to be some kind of benevolent fish....

Feels like some kind of crazy acid trip !!
They tried to have me I had them over too. I did not say I would send the insurance documents I said documents relating to the insurance, its the 1.5% card fee I wasn't told about until I was there collecting

Acid trip no... me complete and utter bd or cock, take your choice... yes I am.

You did say you were a cash buyer, then put it on a card.
I would not be surprised to hear that there was a previously unmentioned "banking fee" if you had turned up with a roll of notes.

The max I could pay in cash was £5000.
I had to pay £5078 as I'd previously paid some by a cheque.

Cash to me is cleared funds, unless its a good deal mate for cash then cash is a wad of notes and no questions

I've experienced the admin fee scenario a couple of times. It's an incredible coincidence that I charge a £99 purchasing fee, and after a little chuckle both times the car was reduced in price by the fee, but the fee was still shown. Both times left me thinking I hadn't haggled hard enough in the first place.
