I've an F80 CP. Seriously, it doesn't need to be any faster in a straight line.
It would be nicer if the low revs engine note didn't sound like Gandalf clearing his throat and the throttle response in 'efficient' were less crap diesel like. Other than that, it's what you should expect from a hardcore sports saloon.

I must admit I liked the F80 Competition pack for the better sound and loved the wheels and new seats!! didn't end up buying one as found it impossible to pull away without lighting the back end up! savage mid-range mind

BMW need to make a lighter more compliant tactile car that appeals to the heart not to pub bragging rights to get me back into a M

Maybe things have reached a little bit of a dead end in development now. What I mean by this is that it's difficult to reduce weight significantly if keeping the standard 3 series as the donor and equally, eyebrows would be raised if the power fell or the engine became a pumped up 4 pot.
Perhaps the solution is to change direction and utilise (and build on) the technology from the i8 to create the first hybrid high performance small saloon car? Personally I didn't warn to the looks of the i8 and went for a 911 instead, but if they produced the above I'd really think about it.

Isn't that kind of the M2/M2 CSL though ( the 2-series being a booted 1-series ) - that took over from the 1M coupe.Or would you want a hatchback 1M as well as an M2 coupe?

Is your 991 AWD by any chance, if not how do you manage flooring it from the traffic lights?

Is your 991 AWD by any chance, if not how do you manage flooring it from the traffic lights?
I just took my M3 out for a quick drive. From standstill it broke traction when I really stamped on the pedal. If that is how people drive these cars, I'm not surprised there are traction issues. Sorry some people on here have brought the wrong car. If I want to drive like that I'll go on a track, which I have and will do again.

It's quite ridiculous to say it but 475HP puts it behind the Giulia and C63S of today's crop - in 3 years time that's going to be well out of date. I'd expect a tickled Giulia by then and also a tweak on the C Class which will go to 550PS + comfortably.

Cars like this are all willy waving. Barely any people actually buy them that give a st how it drivers, most want it for the badge and how fast it is to impress their mates/missus/random birds they meet
