I wonder what the Cullinan design team think when they look at the other cars in the Bentley and Rolls line up? Does anyone know if they got sacked for that?
Presumably not for a few logical (sorry) reasons.1 - If the company thought that it was a poor design, they wouldn't have given the current design the green light....you do realise that the designers have to get their work signed off before it is actually built, right?
2 - I have a friend who works at Rolls-Royce and says it's selling really well which brings me to point 3
3 - reports suggest RR are actually struggling to keep up with the demand of them
So, whilst I think it's not a good looking thing, it doesn't seem like it's been a failure so bad it warrants several people to get sacked, judging by how sales are going (ultimately, how it should be judged, I guess).
Still, I’m off to see him in Guangzhou after Le Mans and I would definitely rather have a ride in the Cullinan than eat one of his snacks.....

Fabulous looking thing. Only real letdown for me is the rear cabin. It's probably an option but I'd prefer two separate comfy chairs like those available in the 7 series and S Class.

That is the worst twin-rear seat I think I've seen- it's like they forgot to fit the rear centre console.

That's the 5 seat version - it's got a third seatbelt in the middle. I expect that there will be a four seat version soon with a rear centre console, if there isn't one already.Burwood said:

Will it depreciate as quickly as it accelerates?
Odds are it will. 50% in 3 years? Theres a V8 MY17 for sale at £69KA car to be driven in, not to drive for oneself. running front and profile view, the boot lid to me doesn't quite work and I am not sure about the wheels. Shame that there isn't a hybrid version considering the weight. Would you buy one of these over a Merc S Class, Alpina B7, or a Rolls Royce Ghost, this is the big question?

I would rather have one over a 7er or an S class, the Rolls Royce Ghost is being replaced next year though.E65Ross said:

Maybe he doesn't have experience of working in Car Design or the sharp end of an OEM at all....

Bentley A8
Ah, it's the same as an A8? Please point me in the direction of the Audi A8 which has the same interior, wheels, suspension, brakes and, heck, even something so meaningless as a 635bhp engine....the most powerful A8 you can get in petrol-guise is 340bhp.Are you suggesting that there is no difference between this and an A8? I can't imagine you are, because that'd be incredibly stupid for anyone remotely into cars, right? Or for someone to get confused between "platform sharing" and "the same"....
He of the withering put-down, the expert of all matters car related, the ultimate arbiter of all motoring discussions, there can be none finer, no greater rapier-like wit and master of all he surveys than that uber-lord of things 4-wheeled.
Don't kid yourself sunshine - if you think that thing isn't chock-full of Audi componentry, you're even more stupid than your posts make evident.

Being "chock-full" of Audi componentry isn't "the same as" though, is it.
