I rememembered another house not far from mine is a little semi, maybe 3 bedrooms, in an average 50s style estate but their daughter that I used to go to college with has a very wealthy boyfriend.

There's regularly a black Phantom or shocking green Murcielago taking up the entire driveway.
Are you that wealthy BF?!?!?!? wink

This was mine, against the houses opposite (similar to mine):

It did look a bit out of place, everyone else here owns Picassos or Saxos smile

If that's your house then you sure do...

...you have an absolutely crappy house, regardless of the value of your cars. In fact I'd be embarrassed at owning such a shitty pile!!! rolleyes

Speaking personally, my car fleet (both vehicles hehe) are worth around 5% of the value of my property. That figure seems typical for several members of my family.

a) I guess some people's priorities in life differ

b) It depends when you got on the housing market. Nowadays, someone on £70k - £100k a year can only just about get a mortage on a one bed flat or a tiny terraced house in a London suburb, but they can easily afford a brand new 911. The people he'll be living with who got on the housing ladder in the 70s aor 80s will probably be on about £15k a year...
Correct RobM77, i nearly ended up stiring up an argument because a guy had an expensive car outside his house.

All it is, is PRIORITIES.

Only two of which are road worthy.

And that's being generous to the Tiv.

They're listed in his profile.

They're not quite at tbops standard though.

No, I was being sarcastic...

...however, I would hazard a guess that the house in the pictures is not tbops only house (if indeed it's his at all).

Of course my initial point stands; if that is his only house, then he absolutely wins this thus far. I've never seen a situation where a person's cars are worth more than their house(s), where that house is worth more than about £200k.

Are you sure about that? I've bought all of my cars cash. My BMW was £16k, my last Caterham was £19k and my Elise was about £11k after I made a £10k trade in (the BMW - dreadful thing). Both bought at main dealers. I believe my father does the same. When we say cash though, I mean on my debit card, I don't literally mean walking in there with a briefcase full of money hehe
