Millions? Really? Do you have any idea how much it cost to develop?
okay I admit hyperbole....but.....as I recall (and from the story on here). It was dicked about with by TVR for about 5 years prior to appearing...it has bespoke nearly everything and very powerful engine (particularly at the time).....they only made a handful (but a lot of tooling must still have been required I would think)...this one was then 'further developed for 5 years and now has one off body etc..' (Im badly paraphrasing ehre).....if that hasn't cost a million to build in real cash and labour time I would be amazed.....

Anyone got a link to the EVO review?
I seem to remember it got 12 stars out of 5. Didn't Peter Wheeler drive one on the road and deemed it "too extreme for the road" so canned it?? Saw it at Goodwood a few years back and it was stunningly fast and sounded awesome, they fired it up to drive the course while I was in the supercar paddock.
I think I've still got a copy of the Evo mag where they reviewed it. I could probably scan it and e-mail it to you if you wanted.

The advert states it has been owned by its current owner since TVR sold it in 2003,so how are people claiming that it has had several owners?

Sorry, I have no idea where you get that information from, but the car HAS NOT
changed hands since it was bought in 2003 - FACT.

How very odd. Presumably the 'wrong' kind of calls, as I note they haven't seen the need to take it off their website.

The people who do Pimp My Ride UK

Its fking hideous isnt it? Was then, is now.
the most creative thing about pimp my ride uk is the number of camera angles they employ to avoid showing the full scale of the bloke in charges nose.

Ironically, if they ever do Pimp My Face, he'll be a prime candidate.

Probably people asking how much but they don't have an answer. Either put a price up or put it in an auction. All seems a bit opportunist after trying to sell it for so long.

That comes from the Wiki article quoted, about 2/3 of the way down:

Sadly that shows how unreliable Wikipedia is.

I seem to remember that the original owner who bought it from TVR (was it Kevin someone?), and I suspect still the present owner, used to post a few times on here as Speed12 or speedtwelve about the development of it.

Where has he gone lately? He seemed to disappear when it first came up on eBay.

Perhaps he is tired of the same questions / comments / doesn't need the publicity.

That article has an awful lot of incorrect information in it about all aspects of the Speed 12 and Cerbera Speed 12 projects, so don't believe any of it.

And certainly don't ever believe the quoted top speeds - neither car ever did a speed test.

Am I right in remembering that you used to work for TVR doing development work?

Why don't you update the Wiki article as you are the perfect person to write it? Anyone can do it - I think you just need to register and then start editing.
