Why is everyone talking about the bloody 335d?

IMHO the level of abuse is not warranted though - he loves his car and boffs off on it a bit, not a crime is it ?Kieran XJR said:
Dare I ask just how fast a remapped 335d actually is? In real life I mean.
Faster than light, in fact they often don't look all that fast from the outside but this is a trick of nature as they are actually causing light to bend around them as they warp forward in time itself.Fidgits said:

Only Chuck Norris is quicker than a 335d.
Or if Chuck Norris was a car, he'd be a 335D!

The (unchipped) version I test-drove wasn't that fast IMHO. The chip adds 70-ish bhp but I don't think that would make it mega fast.
Also, there is that tell tale rattle on start up.
So I didn't buy one. I'm still happy tooling around in my 147 GTA.

CERN could have used a 335d engine to power the Large Hadron Collider but the resulting black hole would have destroyed the universe
It's said if two 335D's were to have a 1/4 mile drag race on a westerly facing track, the resultant torque would actually stop the world spinning...
