5 million! I would have to cut some off the list.

Already agreed that I will have markmullen on an exclusive for the afternoon. Then I'd need to find somewhere nice to house them...
See my earlier post, book mark it just incase, im your man for a decent sized lock up!
Duly noted. I had thought about a small Regency mansion, with grounds, a covered walkway to the six berth garage with workshop, but you're right. Six dodgy lockups miles away seems infinitely better wink

5 million in the bank. That would just clear my overdraft. wink

How good would it be to be able(with 5 big one's) to go and find your first car! Can you imagine if it was still out there! Mk II escort 1.6 Ghia. That would be a nice find to put in my collection.

And the rest. wink

One new production car only, 110 Defender TDCi and straight in for a remap and a thorough rust proofing session. That'd be the daily driver/workhorse.

I'd be very interested in a factory built Ultima GTR and possibly some sort of Cobra kit to build myself.

After that it'd be off to the classifieds for the following

Escort Cosworth
Ferrari 355 or maybe a Sagaris
Renault Clio V6
Jensen Interceptor
Toyota Supra, blame that owners thread by jamiep
A mid size motorhome, a Mercedes based Hymer would do nicely.

I think that would cover quite a few ownership/driving experiences, probably about 300K worth. I don't know how depreciation proof that little lot would be though but all the vehicles appeal to me for different reasons

I'd indulge my Mini habit.

Then a DBS Volante, Ranger Rover Supercharged and an Atom 300

And with £5m liquid, I'd stick there I reckon. Possibly a £20K lucky dip fund on the side as well.

Anybody can buy a car.

I'd retire so I could complete my house renovation and my 3rd Cobra build.

Then I'd buy a scrappies and indulge my dream of taking wrecks and bringing them back to life. The scrap metals business would support my hobby and bring in the projects.

Of course the Mrs would want the Aston, a home on the Med and a penthouse pad in Sydney, she loves the beach and the sun, but I'd be happy up to my elbows in the innards of some deserving basket case, exotic or otherwise, making it as good as new.

Cheers,

Tony

No good memories from the R5 then?

Mine would be in there. Mk II escort. Love that car! Can remember the first time I got the back end to come round.

If I'd had a MK2 Escort I'd agree! Sadly the R5 was so forgettable I can't remember anything positive about it hehe

I've thought it would be fun to get a big junk of it out in cash, drop it in a battered suitcase and stick on a few charity shop clothes, take a wander down the local Aston/Ferrari/Bently dealership and see what reaction you get when you ask for a test drive.

Saying that I did think I was Juha Kanhhunen and wrote my car off at 10 mph into a wall! Happy Days!
