Motoring highs and lows of 2010 - what were yours?
Discussion
Highs: Got the Juno (actually in Dec 2009 but didn't drive it until 2010), took it to Spa. If there is ever a definition of motoring nirvana, this is it.
Traded in the a nail of an Elise (that is apparently now faultless, probably because I fixed them all!) for a Cayman and discovered it to be pretty much the perfect GT for me.
Finally got around to fixing the little outstanding jobs on the Westie then took it to the ring.
Lows: None.
Pretty bloody good year for me!

Highs:
Driving back from Switzerland in January (proper snow) in the MX-5
Any day it doesn't rain in the Midget (aeroscreens)
The drive home after dropping the kids of at school in the Legacy GTB
Lows:
Driving into LeMans, having all those prats on the road outside Houx Annexe trowing fairy liquid into my face.
My wife phoning to say the MX-5 had broken down. Apparently the cam-belt snapped. On the M25. In Rush-hour. In a contra-flow. And I'd forgotten to renew the AA membership.

lows: spending a fortune on my stock hatch race car as part of a planned championship assualt, only to give up after two rounds because all I was doing was putting right all that was made wrong by an inept monkey I used briefly last year. It spent so much for so little return that I briefly retired from racing so fed up was I.
highs - finishing 5th on my debut in the VW Golf Championship at Oulton and driving the wheels off the same car in the final race at Snet, doing 10 laps all within 1/10th of a second to finish 8th, 8 secs down on the winner, 18secs up on the 9th place person. (in a car that was 1.5secs off the pace)
Also selling my Ford Friendee Camper van (bought to use during my racing season) for £1750 profit.

Highs: Taking the morgan around curborough sprint track, and competing in an Autosolo with the morgan sports car club. - what a blast, tear arsing around a carpark, just like being 17 again!
Lows: driving from west mids to east kent via newcastle, on a windy wet day, in a leaky sportcar was not much fun.

Highs : having a change around car wise and ending up with two usable beauties, namely a '69 Mini Cooper and a '72 Rover 3500.
Lows : pranging said Rover on my own bloody driveway before Christmas, by misjudging the gap and scraping both nearside doors on the gatepost. It's fixable and it's not the end of the world, but it grates nonetheless!

Highs:
The first time I squeezed the throttle on my 172. Scared the st out of me but what a feeling.
Driving down to Goodwood FOS in the 172 on a lovely sunny morning with a couple of mates keeping up with a Mazda 3 MPS through some back roads
Low: Garaging it and having no car to drive at all

Niggly problems with the Prelude.
Cost of petrol.
Being unable to afford to get my full bike licence.
