Thank you Jimmy, you have restored my faith in the PH love for daftness.

On that subject, I think there might be a market for this as a taxi:

- and if there isn't, there should be...

You need a Mondeo or another V70...

I know someone who used a Saab 95 diesel for airport taxi work. He had to dump it because the engine was not sufficiently refined. Crap was the word he used.

Seats seven, is a bit quirky, probably got loads of boot space even with all the seats up (unlike most MPVs) AND its under budget:

Look at those seats armchairs!

It's fifteen years old, you trumpet...how many more 70,000s are left in it...?

And the interior looks like a Las Vegas brothel...hehe

Fifteen years isn't that old, relatively wink. Americans put huge mileages on these things, they seem to cope, and as for the interior I'm sure stag parties would enjoy it.

I know the OP said no Skoda, but the Superb can't be all that familiar. Seems a lot of car in comparative terms.

Surprised noone has chimed in with Avantime yet, I thought they were PH's "big MX5" in popularity stakes. Also, where is 300 BHP/Ton suggesting a cadillac of some sort?

PH, you've lost it.
I suggested the Avantime biggrin It was just after suggesting the Vel Satis though...

The Avantime may have been a daft suggestion..
this is the cheapest I found, but with that milage, not sure what it would be like.

Multipla is an interesting option, as is the X type - which needs to be a silver estate!

Right chaps. Apart from the Mitzicab - which would be ubercool I have decided to go for a multi seater. The only other thing I would look at will be a Saab 9-3 estate or 9-5 saloon or estate.

I'll buy the best one we can come up with for the money, and will christen it the PH cab. All Phers receive a discounted trip if they find themselves in Mid Devon, so make sure you'd be happy in it!!

Otherwise, it will have to be the MX5 and cattle trailer. hehe

Saab 93 estate is very cramped in the back, 95 is probably better bet.

True.

Scrub the 9-3. 9-5 in saloon or estate then.

Espace is a def no. It's in Warrenpoint Norn Iron. Even if it was a perfectly straight car, it would cost £500+ to get it to Devon. Which is a shame because if it were closer I'd have a look.

Mazda 6 is a good call, but that car is the wrong colour and I'm always suspicious when there's no interior pics.

Chaps, for the last time, No Sharan/Galaxy/Alhambra!! I'd rather have a smokey old Beemer 525d or a C220.

Anyone know this dealer? Or the car?

clicky
The Suggested 6 was more an example than anything, rather than a "Buy this very exact car" lol

Indeed! Good call. I'll ring later and find out where it is.
