What kind of an idiot thought this would be a good idea? The kind of plot an eight year old child would come up with. Cheesy as hell.

Here is how this works out, Aston looked at BMW online films from a couple of years ago, thought to themselves that a really good idea, but we do not have the budget to make a movie which is creative and stylish and also entertaining so we are going to do the Apprentice and try are luck with the results.

Dear me.

Well, someone tell me how it ends.
I got about half way through where Norman proclaims himself to be a fighter and that was about as much as I could take.

BMW did all this with The Hire years ago

All they needed to do was ask Top Gear to remake this with the Rapide.

The Rapide has one of the worst rear leg room I've ever come across, and is very cramped due to a low roof line, it is definitely a car you cannot sit in the back in comfort. Very poor and disappointing for its size, a DB9 is nearly as spacious inside.

There really is no market for this car IMHO, especially at £140k plus the options. If I remember in the Top Gear feature Clarkson said Aston can charge it because they can, well these days people are not stupid and especially because they now have Toyota IQ's in their showrooms. And at the prices second hand Aston's are fetching these days you could have a second hand DBS and the new Jag XJ as a saloon.

Re poor sales: It's very telling that none of the dealer ads for the Rapide in the classified section show the rear of the passenger compartment.

The Rapide looks great on TV and in magazines but the minute you go and view one you realize how grim a place the back seats are.

Aston Martin....cool? Don't think so.

They dropped off my wish list years ago.
+1

I am in the target audience for one of these
chariots, but I wouldn't give it houseroom.

Hand built in England - isn't that synonymous
with expensive to run and breaks down a lot ?
Not really, no.

Poor attempt to lure corporate buyers who dream of being secret agents! WTF dreams of being a secret agent? Why not show what the car can really do??

What was the point of the baddy flicking over his Jaeger LeCoultre? All you saw was a mechanism and 25 jewels?

Aston Martin certainly needs an improved cheese filter.

Cringeworthy things are slipping through that damage the brand's image.
