and a new system of turbulence control called Airguide. 'It consists of pivoting transparent plastic layers which are attached to the reverse of the roll-over bars. The driver or passenger can swing them to the centre of the vehicle in a flash, thus taming turbulent air flow,' says M-B. However we can't spot it in any of the pics released today
And yet they are clearly visable in this photo attached to each roll hoop?Overall the car looks good I think, but might be in the minority

For a car like this, I would want something sporty- there are other better "sports convertible" options out there- Boxster (the one I would choose- the latest 3.4S model was fabulous to drive), and Z4 being the obvious rivals. Don't want an autobox and MB's manuals aren't the greatest. This is more a car to be seen in, than a true drivers car- in my opinion!
How can you tell how it drives just from looking at the pictures on your computer screen?had a look and read the brief, in my opinion, i think all German car makers make ugly cars.
i have genuinely tried to like all cars as i love cars, i just dont get the German appeal.
Reliable?, sometimes, better than the rest not so sure, well built?, Mercs bad days, BMWs reliability nowadays, status symbol?, in the 70s yes , nowadays too common to be a status symbol.
not a bmw i like, or Audi, if you are going to have a Porsche you have to have a 911, nothing else.
MB ripped off all their customers for years with shoddy build quality and reliability, but they were making billions so its ok
and whats with badging a car a 6.3 when its a 5.5 and BMWs that are 323 but a 2.5??????
my girlfriend has a 318d on an 06, buts it a 2.0 apparently, why?
its good on a dry road thats smooth, other than that the run flats crash on every road imperfection, its got no spare so you have to buy run flats ongoing, it got stuck on some wet grass on the flat( not mud) on sunday, ( i towed it off with my Legacy in the end) you cant get anything in the boot due to the big lip,its plasticky inside, needless to say i hate it.
i am genuinely open to sensible persuasion as i want to like all manufacturers.

The Z4 (or the Boxster) is a proper sports car. This is for girls and hairdressers, just like a TT Roadster. But each his own of course.
So you know that this car, which you've never driven or even seen in the metal, is a hairdressers car? Are you really so shallow and image obsessed? 2. No, I like Mercs, but not this one.

They've been at it for years. As soon as the same engines could be used in order to achieve different power ratings it made sense.my girlfriend has a 318d on an 06, buts it a 2.0 apparently, why?

so a 323 is a 2,5, so whats a 2.5 badged as then,
They haven't made a BMW 323i in yearsIf your referring the Z4 sDrive 23i then yes it is indeed a 2.5l
The badging is based more on the engine BHP and not so much the actual capacity.
With the current shape 3-series, every model (excluding the M3) is either a 2.0 or 3.0, yet the range spans from the 316d through to the 335i
