Looks like the same old Spyker to me except the rear is different. Horrendous interior! ive notices these marques such as Noble, Spyker, and others all have very fugly designed interiors. Its like they put all the effort into engine and outside and then when it came to interior they just throw anything they can together and oila!
I agree the interior is awful but I think if you read the article again in this instance all the effort put into the engine was by Audi!

Good to see a British company expanding and saving a car marque.

Not often you can write that.
+1 Wish them all the luck. this one looks much better than the previous one, on the outside anyway. The interior still looks like the inside of a Gypsy caravan though.

For all of you that don't like the interior I recommend you get in one and drive it, it makes a lot more sense then. Under the studio lights all that aluminium and stainless steel looks like bling and chrome but it isn't.

The steering wheel is off a Lamborghini and is different from the the older cars as they did not have airbags and the US exemption they had has run out.

I will buy one when it gets the LSA engine from the Cadillac CTS-V. It's not getting the LS9.

What a silly name .... an aileron is a directional control surface on an airplane. Reminds me of the Saab adverts in the USA ... MADE FROM JETS !!!

There's been a "market" for this car for at least a decade rolleyes

50 cars per annum is tiny. From several million millionaires around the world there have to be many more than that eccentric/stupid/brilliant enough to maintain the sales momentum.
You're undoubtedly correct. But how much does it cost to reach, court and close those customers? Can it be done for the sort of price that a Spyker can attract whilst still funding new model development?

One man's meat is another's poison.

I'd let the local schoolkids choose.
They all come out of school, and waiting at the lights are a Lambo, Ferrari, McLaren and the new Spyker.

My bet is last would be the McLaren (wins everything but its image is as dull as ditchwater), then a tie between the Ferrari and Lambo, while the crowd of kids gathers drooly-eyed round the Spyker!
Coincidentally, I just first saw a commercial yesterday that had kids on a school bus all run to one side of the bus to look at a Spyker. Then they all run to the other side to look at whatever the ad was for which I can't remember, haha.

With the added wheelbase, it reminds me of the XJ220, which is a good thing.

Would you walk past a Ferrari / McLaren / Lamborghini showroom for this Audi engined eyesore.
Yep. The 458 is too ugly and the McLaren too dull. I would definatley slow down walking past the Lambo showroom, but I would probably keep walking and go for the Spyker - rarity, fantastic looks and would never need to buy a beer at Le Mans again!

If the Ferrari was a 458 I would walk past it looking the other way! Ugly bd of a thing!

I've got a tenner says the market disagrees and 458 will outsell the Spyker 100:1. Likely IMO to be the most coveted mid-engine Ferrari since 308/328.
