This brand dilution really needs to stop.
Greek number plates ftw... It goes to show that if the peripheral economies (portugal, greece, italy etc) did not buy ze german products the year to year profits/growth (you name it) of ze germans would never be be the same...

Oh, my, that's exactly the next car I am looking for, and with looks that perfectly appeal to me. They NEED to make it.

Does a shooting brake makes sense with mid engines?

They are still making what they know best.

They are ADDING to the range, NOT REPLACING our favourites. So why should we care if we get MORE choice ?

I really don't get all the negativity about this.

Dunno. If Porsche engineers think so, I'm inclined to believe them.
If I get the things I like from a mid-engined sports car + some practicality + agressive/challenging looks, I'm in.

Mmmh...it's a shame that they add turds to what is more or less a respectable brand, apart from the fact that all their cars look the same and they have been milking the 911 for...how long? biglaugh

Since the beginning of this VW stuff I've been giving them the benefit of the doubt and chuckling at all this 'not another Porsche special edition...' sh!te. But, I've seen enough now. The laughing has to stop. The Pajun, or whatever the fup it'll be called is a brdige too far. They're takin the p!ss. I accept all the 'more choice is a good thing' bks - think about it for a mo, and decide it's sh!te. No more Porsche for me - these losers are on to a loser and need to get a grip. They'll make a few quid a while and then crash and burn. Porsche aint Porsche no more. It's a platform sharing load of platform sharing and I aint buying a ticket no more.

Why do all Porsches look like stodgy fat lumpy swolen vulgar pancakes...
What a pity such high-tech is hidden under ugly bodies.

No, it won't be an A5. It's going to compete with 5-series (not 3-series) or Merc's CLS. So it should be an A7 with a Porsche badge on the bonnet.

since when A5 is competing with 3 seriezzzz
Why do A5 drivers think it's better than it is???

Thanks a bunch. But I quite like my 130i, if that's ok with you. Ever driven one, by the way?

This is bullsh... What's next ?! Porsche with 3 cylinder engine with 105 hp,then 1,4 turbo diesel engine ,then crossover, then wagon, and so on and on...
Then this is not PORSCHE ! Porsche must be something different ,not something common on the streets ,must be a strong sport car, with 300-350 hp at least or more.I accept Cayenne and Panamera somehow but something smaller ,cheaper and meaningless by Porsche is just to much like this mutant hybrids like Pajun and with this stupid names. And all this 911 special editions like Casio watches rolleyes
Just stupid in eyes of auto-enthusiast.

In fairness, i took that comment to mean the 116 or 118, not a get up & go model such as the 130i. I may be wrong, but that's how i took "lower end One series"

Who cares what class of car Porsche make?

Whatever it is, it will be at or near the top of the class for performance and driving pleasure.

Don't like it - don't buy it!

Everytime Porsche launch a new model the keyboard warriors start, I thought the response to this would be lots of people who haven't seen or driven the proposed car slating it and Porsche. Sadly I was right frown
