Maybe they should just revive the obvious model name 'MAXI'?
That is pretty much identical to my first car. Yes, that colour. I would have one again tomorrow, if it was reliable/not falling to pieces/didn't use as much clutch fluid as fuel.Edited by SubaruSteve on Wednesday 6th April 07:11

Nissan would probably call it the Nissan Countryman, no?
Just like Mini are calling it the Mini Countryman. You all know that's the name of the company, it isn't trying to be the world's first Inappropriately Self-Captioning Car, right?
Surely the 'company' is BMW. The brand is MINI. Just like Mini are calling it the Mini Countryman. You all know that's the name of the company, it isn't trying to be the world's first Inappropriately Self-Captioning Car, right?

I know someone said it's apparently "smaller" than a Golf/Focus
Not apparently "smaller", actually smaller. All in my humble opinion of course, I'm sure I'll see hundreds of the ugly buggers around, hopefully not at too many Mini shows though!

Saw a Countryman at Goodwood the other day.
Was that at Saywell by any chance?P.S. I adore it, barely a bigger footprint than my sister's Fiesta, gets around town quicker than my AMV8 and it manages to have an awful lot of space for 4 people and luggage while still be incredibly comfortable. I love the looks too (although that's a given or I wouldn't have bought one).

Brand names are literal descriptions of the product's appearance is where we are up to now.
Keep going - I really don't give a stuff about the car; I just want to see how tortured PH hate-logic can get.
Or you could read back and see I don't hate the brand, or the MINI. Keep going - I really don't give a stuff about the car; I just want to see how tortured PH hate-logic can get.
Let's face it, the original Mini was named so because it was, er, how do I put this so you understand... small.
When BMW took the name, they kept it small(ish) the Countryman just isn't is it?
Still with us?
