Seems like it was German police vehicle then. As you said in your first post, BP is Bundespolizei. It might have been five numbers or six, but definitely not something I’d ever seen before. I would have taken a pic but I was on the phone at the time.
Where would these come from? Same format as a Jersey plate so assuming some form of local territory plate?

Sure I have seen that around Southampton, there are a few RU plates around here.Not spotted by looking on collecting cars they have “250 S” coming up, anyone want to guess what it will make? Also have SE11 GAS, was this a Pimlico plumbing reg?
