Wading in with my purchase yesterday. Just over a bag and a half, 108k, full history, just serviced and absolutely immaculate and sorted in every way. I've had two year old cars that don't feel so together.
Top, top work! The W211 is much nicer than an E60 or C6.Was very close to buying this morning, but decided not to. Think I should've just gone for it.

You made the right call. That looks like it's been a taxi in the past,Was very close to buying this morning, but decided not to. Think I should've just gone for it.

Perhaps, but can't have been for long.As a shed to chuck bikes in and throw away when it dies I think it would've been spot on. Would've probably had to chop in the Merc to avoid double-barging!
I'm undecided at the moment whether to go for a V70 (I've seen a few in 2.4T guise which look OK) or something more mundane and diesel for cheaper running.
The idea of a V70 or 960 appeals becuase they're a bit different, but they cost a lot to tax on post 2001, they're not massively economical, and the load hatch area isnt as big as some others. But they are comfy and go on forever.
Vs, something like a C5 HDi estate which is cheaper to buy, lower miles, bit blander, not quite as comfy and could be a bit pricey when things fall off. I think repair bills would be similar, they both fail, they just fail in different areas
