RS4 sounds great. A fab 'do it all' car.

Spotted this earlier. Such an awesome colour and looking very svelte next to the Mini.

Much obliged All.
The pesky exhaust flaps are stuck shut, so first job tomorrow is to go full nascar.

How are things Loon now you've settled into your new role/s? Some amazing machines on the site smile

You'd know, JC.
Was hoping for a reg ending in AHH then we could park them both together.

Just returned from a break in Dorset with the family and in the village of Shaftesbury (the one famous for being used in the Hovis advert) I saw an older gent parking up in his filthy yellow 968CS cool

Not usual thread fare, but I thought i'd ask here, on Monday 7/3/16 I have to travel to that there London and return north
on the afternoon of Wednesday 9/3/16, So i'll point the big Swede in a Southerly direction on the Monday, I understand that
the SE1 area falls within the congestion charging zone, my question is thus, obviously on the Monday i'll have to pay the charge
on the Tuesday it'll be parked all day in a car park and not used, and on the Wednesday the training seminar that i'm attending
finishes at around 5pm, so if I don't move the car until after 6pm on Wednesday my understanding is that i'll only have to pay
for the Monday, would anyone know if this's is correct?
I believe that you are correct.

Congestion Charge Site said:
You have to pay an £11.50 daily charge if you drive between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday in the Congestion Charge zone.
If you don't drive around then there's no way for the enforcement cameras to see you. smile
Thanks, I knew i'd get the answer on here......

It is a stunning (£200k) thing isn't it yes

Would certainly be on my lottery wish list.

Saw an Evo V or VI being driven enthusiastically earlier which looked pretty bloody good....

As for the alfaholics car, no fking way is that a £200k car (as much as I like their shizzle).

Congratulations chap, that looks absolutely fantastic and I am really rather jealous.
Indeed. That really is a very smart looking thing. I do think they've aged remarkably well.

This one stood out as it had clutch, flywheel, 4xDRC dampers and springs changed last April, and still under warranty. At the same time, it had a new set of control arms and sus bushing done too. It has the optional sports suspension pack which sits the car a little lower.

Inside, it has the flat bottomed steering wheel which means I can make a decent stab at heel/toe, and buckets with the rare option of cloth on the cushions - my preference to all leather. The back seats are heated too. Its done 88k, and looks and feels very fresh against some of the cars I've driven - at the same price as well; late teens.

Engine wise, it is very linear, but fast, especially from 5 - 8k. The B5 RS4 that I drove was more of a thrill in a whiz bang kind of way, probably the quickest thing I've driven delivery wise, but felt old inside. For a daily car the B7 is the right choice. It just demolishes roads that had my dear old E46 330i bucking around.

The engine light is on, due to the carbon airbox fitted, but I should be able to get around that when the cable and software arrives to delve into the cars ecu and settings.
Part from that, a very happy camper.

Like, a lot. On the list.

Interested to know whether the coking issue is an internet hype story or a genuine issue.

So many miles for £4k... I gave away two GTis many years ago as they were worth buttons!

One was a Ltd. Edition Sorrento!! Maybe only 80k or so on the clock frown

Picked myself up a solid Pug 106 XSi today for £800.

Going to throw a few quid at it and that will be my 800kg back road blaster, nice revvy engine, close gears etc smile
