In the Navy? You'll be needing a barge then???
hehe
At least the fuel consumption won't matter, he'll only be able to drive it back and forth on the top deck for 6 months a year, lol.

LWB E38s all do, plus V12 shorts. It's one of those "devil in the detail" things that make the flagship spec cars a bit more special.

That is very nice. I'm no expert of values of the V12 E38's (Zwolf, where are you!) but that seems good value at first look. Top Notch advert which certainly gives a level of confidence and insight into owner.

Is that so bad? Assuming you weren't planning on using it for track days, do you need the hooliganability of spanish cogs? It's not a bad auto.
+1. I ran an Auto and the only time I really regretted it wasn't a manual was when I sold it as drift demand means it would probably have been worth double the amount I got for the auto. That 5 speed auto box is supposed to adapt to your driving style and I certainly found that to be the case.

An odd feeling now the E39's been MOT'd, really enjoying it and any thoughts of changing in the next 12 months have gone away (for now....). I really need more space so I can just add to the fleet rather than feeling I need to sell before I can buy....

Oh yes. Yes indeed. That looks very proper and above board.

Who's buying it?
Indeed. I don't get Paras on an L though, I mean, the ride suffers which isn't want you want from your rear heated seat.

Be a proper tool for the road trip season
Madness, Read through the AD and thought 'Looks like the one that the previous owner of our 540i bought to replace it' scroll through and yep - Magnus from Surrey! Tempted to buy this from him too!

Speaking of slate green..... Is this it? Seems a bit of a steal, even has a set of winters smile 540 sport for £2995

Merely stubble here but looks like Dolphin Grey to me.
Dolphin Grey--beautiful colour--was long gone by E39, surely? Zwolf will know, of course.
Sterling Grey is what your thing of, but looks Slate Green to me

Dolphin Grey was E28 and early E34

3.0 V6, 89k, 'Service bills, MOT until May (with full history of previous MOTs) - all for one pound under a grand!

I really want a a car to just waft around in, but I can't overcome my feeling of apprehension - I'm yet to take my first step into barge ownership.

What's the potential bork on an S-Type?
