Is that your crash? Everyone OK? What happened?
That image was from a fatal crash in the USA back in 2019 (do a Google search on that image). I very much doubt the poster was involved. Don’t know why somebody would post that, I really don’t,

Bloody good whack that.
Are the newer police interceptors rated in the same way the Crown Vic was for rear end crash survivability?
That was a fuel tank impact fire issue wasn't it? I'd assume Ford and others have learned from that. Are the newer police interceptors rated in the same way the Crown Vic was for rear end crash survivability?
Interesting side note.
I have been through the entire factory in St Thomas Canada where the Crown Vics were made. My uncle was a lead QC Manager for Ford at the time ~ 1996/7.
Was fascinating to see a frame getting built up into a car.

You could be right. I also thought the PI versions of the Crown Vic had an uprated rear bulkhead as a design spec was for an officer and rear passenger to be able to survive the vehicle being rear ended at 60 MPH.Interesting side note.

You could well be correct, there were various changes made throughout its service due to the abuse they got and kit carried. Not to mention some portly officers. Ok, not a crash but it did scratch my bonnet a bit. This made me jump at work yesterday, trees falling down are loud! The tree surgeon said he wanted it to go the other way. If I'd parked in the row in front my car would have been crushed, so got quite lucky probably, although I want a new car and I'd have had a much more interesting picture to post . My colleague's 1 Series got a nice dent on the bonnet.
Biggest disappointment, somehow my dashcam's "parking mode" didn't capture a tree landing on the bonnet. Can't be a very good motion sensor.

Not mine but amazingly the crasher managed to walk away from this!
