I've just ordered a Megane for a trip down to N Wales in a couple of weeks, we'll see if it turns up.

We thought about trading our Clio 197 for one, but bought a Civic Type S diesel instead. In fairness though, the reviews of the new megane are very good.

LOL here we go again.

I don't have any long trips coming up so won't bother this time. Thumbs up to Renault for the laguna that took me from Leeds to London and back on a tank of fuel though smile

I had the Laguna for a 48hr test drive and I was only 22 at the time. Midway through last year.

Have they changed the rules since then?

Yes, it was 21 - then went to 25, presumably due to the large amount of 21-24yr olds who have no interest in buying one!

Any mileage limits?

Might be useful for keeping the miles of mine for a weekend trip...though I'll miss mine frown

Avis will question it when they ring you to sort the booking, and just refuse once they know your DOB though.

When I got the Laguna last year I had it for a weekend and they never even checked my driving licence.

That was before they imposed a minimum age of 25, it used to be 21.

I've got a trip to London coming up next week but as it's a Megane I honestly think I'd rather take my 530. Will book a Megane for a shorter trip of some sort.
