One contrast about the jag compared to my mercs is the capability at 100+. On an empty (Cough: German) Edinburgh to Glasgow road this afternoon I slowed down to take this.
I like the idea of an XJR but definitely don't need one!
I remember travelling through from Edinburgh to Glasgow about 2am at speeds like that, I had an elderly colleague with me at the time, around 25 years ago, he was ex Battle of Britain pilot, he got out the car at our destination and commented, 'that was fine piece of low level flying,' made me smile, rip Maurice! Wouldn't fancy trying it now though, lots of unmarked traffic cars on the M8.I like the idea of an XJR but definitely don't need one!

Hells teeth...I like the idea of an XJR but definitely don't need one!
I remember thinking when I bought the XJR, this is licence losing stuff.
They way it gains pace from say 50mph up on the autostrade can catch you completely off guard.
Subsequently I've had the huge fine, points and now awaiting the court case.
Buyers beware.

If we're doing fast Jag videos, had a brief blast in my X350 XJR recently. Had to lift off a couple of times for cars in the distance but I was still impressed with it - it feels quicker than my last one. My girlfriend filmed it as you can probably tell from the angle, so hopefully I get extra points for safety

I like to think there aren't many ways to go faster for £4k!

This must be the laziest ad ever - 190s are no doubt increasing in value for good cars, but to try for £5k on this picture and ad is rather hopeful to say the least. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C867143

Very impressive, the way it picks up again once it's deep into the powerband at 120 is rather good. It'd make a good autobahn express among the 911s.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4iykBqqDQ8

Some cars are very impressive at speed.
One that I didn't expect to impress me is the cheapo Astra I have - at 150mph it's still comfortable and relaxed. It feels totally unstressed and still has plenty of revs in reserve.
I think I worked out it would run out of revs in top gear at 176mph (it won't get there though, maybe downhill)
