My local B&Q - There are a number of large van sized spaces towards the back (of the photo) which the van driver would have driven past on the way in to the carpark which had more than a few spaces - In addition, there were plenty of spaces in the rest of the carpark (to the left of the photo) which they could have used. But no, this'll do:

That's like my OH who tries to get as close to the shop as possible, but it takes longer than the 30 second walk from the space furthest to the entrance. We then wouldn't have to queue to get into the shop, wait for blithering idiots to park, squeeze into a tight spot, then queue to get out again.

Or, we just pop to the mass of empty spaces away from the entrance and walk. Why damnit WHYYYYYYYYY.

The only plus point of the van is that they drove in. Pretty good chance if they'd reversed that in the Kia in the other space would probably have ended up with a meaty ding.

How on earth do they pass a driving test, reminds of that lovely looking lady who easy as pie backs an 18 wheeler into a loading bay.

Seem to recall a post on PH some time ago, of a narrow road, cars parked both sides, oncoming car almost at the end of the road, a car pulls out of the kerb and heads to it, woman driver, obvious thing is to have waited until the oncoming car gets past, anyway the other driver asks her to pull back in so he can get by, other cars are now coming up behing him.

She is adamant she will not pull back or reverse, police turn up, turns out she is just basically rubbish at reversing and coldn't do it.

How is that even possible? Were they on their way out and nipped back in because they forgot something?

They were visiting the house on the corner, just out of picture to the left. Clearly you need to park *directly* outside the house you're visiting....

Always some special parking whenever I take the kids to swimming lessons. At a weekend, on an industrial space next to a load of units not in use, so there's a mass of available parking, but people will try and get as close to the door as possible. I always park further down the carpark, takes 30 seconds to walk to the entrance, rather than 10 seconds. The below was particularly special though, dunno who was first, neither had a blue badge, although I guess the space doesn't have disabled markings?

If this is inappropriate, feel free to remove it, but people like this should be named named shamed by the media, extract from FB, saw it on the local news last night as well.

I think this comes in near the top of bad parking, that's one word for it, others spring to mind.

Today significant delays to our response time were caused by inconsiderate parking and heavy traffic. The road to Rowardennan was reduced to a single lane. Additionally, vehicles had blocked the emergency access track that allows us to reach incidents higher on the hill.

I am quite sure that the perpetrators suffered the most severe punishment of absolutely fk all that we issue to antisocial cocksuckers.

Four figure fines for such obviously selfish and ttty behaviour would put a stop to it very quickly, it's more or less the only thing these people care about so it's the only route to modify their behaviour. Maybe start at £500 and double it for ever re-offence, I'm sure it'd pay for enforcement quickly enough and with that sort of exponential growth in the size of the fine it'd eventually dissuade even the richest prick.

A bit dark maybe, but a small part of me hopes the fiesta driver was the subject of one of the "incidents higher on the hill". Oh the irony.

Edit: I should add that it would only be amusing if the incident was not too serious.
