That does look rather nice, but I'd really struggle not to double down and get an E55 or CLS55 at that kind of spend.

I don't understand why people can't polish up those cloudy headlight lenses when selling - costs less than £20 for the kit and makes the car look so much better
Probably because people aren't aware it can be sorted that easily I suspect.

Cloudy lenses are the least of its worries...

As said before, it could be anything, weeping radiatior, pin prick in a hose and theyre not known for head gaskets. Having experienced HGF in cars you lose all your coolant in 10 miles, not some in 1000

Speaking of rare, don't think I've seen one of these before. It's a W210 E36 AMG and looks in decent condition. I'd never heard of them till I saw this advert but I'm sure others will have, those with proper beards.
I'm not sure I like the colour of the wheels against the colour of the car.

I’ve a huge soft spot for the W210 E36. The first properly quick car I drove as a teenager. It was only weeks old at the time and felt like some kind of missile in comparison to my Nova GTE.

I drove it back from Lanarkshire to Cheshire, stopping at every service stations en route just so I could floor it to rejoin the carriageway.

I agree it took me ages to find a small leak on a saab 9000 I had, tighten the clip up and problem solved, it could just need a new cap on the expansion tank

Really like the combination of the dark cantrail trims with the pale headlining. Was that an AMG thing?

Really don't like the stick-on chrome on the headlamps and boot lid. Not too impressed by the wheel colour.

Could be a hell of a car.

at 7000 its a little over thread budget, even with a decent haggle - but its got a designo interior i think, and no dodgy air suspension to worry about - i'm also heading over that way middle of next week so might be able to arrange a viewing.

only issue i have is the "rusty merc" era, that i fell foul of when i had my merc c class...........

One of the "Maison" accounts has posted a new car. I was going to say he's missing his touch as only 8 bids and £511 with 3 1/2 days to go. But then saw his usual "more details will follow" and breathed easy again.

As always it looks good. Personally I think you should be able to fill a V70 with stuff for the tip and/or children and so that interior wouldn't work for me.

I like the look of that, and the MOT advisories suggest that maybe four new tyres will be needed soon, and perhaps a pair of front arms (these cars eat front suspension arms anyway). Has anyone bought anything from this guy? The shill bididng is offputting but if the final price is something you're happy with and the car is as described then it can be overlooked.
Hopefully the tyres might have been replaced by now as the MOT was 3/4 months ago ?

Already up to 2K.........

ETA - it's got a new MOT with no advisories 🤔🤔

What's with the peeling paint or wrap by to the left of the rear reg. number?

The expansion tank on my GL420 sprang the tinest of leaks and would only do so on the longest of runs - basically, fill the car to the gunwhales with children and kit, drive to the Alps at speed, then 100 miles short of the destination the coolant warning would come on. Pressure testing revealed nothing, but eventually we figured it out. Had me worried for a bit, as HGF would have been uber-expensive to sort.

Logged on to post the latest W124 from Maison du Shill. White seems such an awful colour on a W124, especially compared to the Almandine red estate posted a few weeks back (that went for £5900).

We'll naturally both be fully conversant with the part of a car known as the cantrail encompassing the A-Pillar, running along the edge of the roof towards the rear, then down the rear-most pillar to the belt-line. But others may not.

Far over budget and at Maison de Shill, but what a beast (GL63 AMG): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-GL63-AMG-...

A friend has one and they are hilarious (and very rare).

How good would it have been to have picked up Greta from the station in that?!
