When I'm in the dashcam car's position in that situation, I always slow down and wave the person who was trying to merge behind in front of me, then enjoy watching the person who was trying to block them explode in my rear view mirror hehe

Good for you, bloody arrogant van drivers.

I hate those who push in.

Maybe a woosh parrot here but I think he means he'd let the van in?

Micra drivers an idiot, clearly. But police seem to be going a little fast too, he pulled left pretty hard so I'm assuming he was out of range of the car he had just passed?
Exactly what I thought - too fast for conditions, clearly.

Cyclists continued to squeeze through the gap!

I wonder how many of the cyclists killed in London have been having those kind of near misses for years and how many are just unlucky.

He's a cycle courier, goes with the territory. It was the most dangerous job I ever had and after the 3rd time of ending up on my backside in the middle of a busy road I decided I wanted to live a little longer and gave it up. I went back to my nice safe summer job of working on the farm.

Always a good idea to kick off with several lads that lug around concrete, slabs, blocks and scaffolding all day.
Nothing bad can come of that

Clearly the car driver's fault for not anticipating the manoeuvre and giving him more room

The only variable is where and when.

The wife sent me this from her morning commute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEmE4J8WHHs

It seems like everyone in Sutton has forgotten how to drive lately. I don't think she was accelerating into him, just accelerating out of the junction. I had a look on Google Earth and measured the distance of where she was positioned when he started to pull out and the distance was 14 metres.

The swift driver was an absolute tt.
The van hardly pushed in. Possibly he was not familiar with the area and up ahead was a change of lane.

One of those cases where "i'm not letting you in tw@ how dare you indicate" ...

Must be somthing about swift drivers....Had one do the same to me the other day, traffic lights then merge in turn, im in right hand lane , I let the car on my left go first, I then went to merge in behind, but the Swift driver behind was having none of it and closed the gap on purpose, leaving me no where to go but stop !! It wasn't even like I was driving aggressively, it was obvious what I was going to do...I just laughed at what a petulant cock the driver was

Your wife sped up when she saw the Toyota pulling out?? If she just coasted or dabbed the brakes then there would be no issue at all and your wifes journey might have been 2 seconds longer. What do you expect in rush hour??
