theres a lot of these videos on youtube, all in ireland/NI, cant remember the gang name but it was in every video title basically. they just steal cars and joyride them until they're completely fked and set them on fire. one video i remember was a mk3 supra they just revved in place until the motor seized.

only a gun will stop them i bet

nothing new, it was a wide spread activity in the UK in the 80s when you could steal most cars with a screw driver, far to many cossies died this way frown
'Problem' then was you only got your fame for a few seconds on the BBC News, now you get XX,000 views on YT etc encouraging you and others to do more.

I tend to "rev bomb" when i'm out in the Westfield, the problem is that using the horn is seen as aggressive and like calling them bad things.

If someone is waiting at a junction, hasn't seen you and looks like they'e going pull out into your path, a "rev bomb" makes them notice you, whilst it could seem like you simply missed a gear change or something..... Using the horn can't be an accident and can be taken more like "OI YOUR A F**KING MORON and YOUR MOTHER IS A *********".
I got honked for revving last night. I assume they thought I was being aggressive, while actually it's that the flywheel is quite light, so if you don't rev during low speed manoeuvres the car stalls.

That makes it sound as if your car isn't suitable for the road!

Pretty gobsmacking stuff. Must be stolen cars......and did anyone call the Police? probably not as they all seemed to be enjoying the 'show'.
Go on Youtube and search 'joyriders Belfast', or 'joyriders Dublin'. This kind of destruction is depressingly normal. Same as it was here in the 90s. Where I grew up, some poor sod's hot hatch was the Saturday night entertainment most weekends.

Eh, it's not that bad, it just doesn't creep on the clutch that well (not helped by the clutch return spring being a bit keen). OEM clutch and flywheel FWIW.

Really? OEM flywheel and you have to rev it to prevent stalling for low speed manouvres! That would annoy me.

Rev it or be very gentle with the clutch. It's a "feature" of the car, you get used to it. I've stalled it more than every other car put together I think though.

After a change of underwear, dry cleaning the seats several times over, I'd be buying a lottery ticket after that!

Windscreen did well to hold up to that sort of impact!

Yep, the swerving of the car in front, draws your attention, then bang, seemingly out of no where. On slowmo you see it flash past the headlamp of the car on the other side.

something said at the junction, so the 4x4 changed direction and went after the other driver, probably didn't pay attention as he got alongside to rant

Wasn't paying attention? That was a deliberate pit maneuver attempt!

At the very start, it suddenly swerves from the right hand lane to the slip road, seemingly expecting the hatchback to give way, or perhaps an very old grudge and suddenly noticing it. Road rage and very deliberate.

God knows how this ended up being a recommended video on YouTube. However, classic example of a DCW with too much time on his hands.
