Yup, small turbo and restrictive exhaust so torque starts to fall off quite quickly after 5000 RPM but it looks like the fuel cut rev limit is 7200-7300 RPM, so open up the exhausts little a optimise the tune and I bet you can arrest the aggressive torque decline in the upper RPMs.

Wait until someone bolts on a EFR turbo to let it really breathe up high!

275 bhp in 1,280 kg, no wonder the thing shifts. That’s similar figures to an Impreza P1, or lots of other 90s Jap rally reps.

Yeah, my test drive confirmed it was every bit as fast as my Evo 9 in stock form (calibrated butt dyno)

Where did you test drive? I can't find a dealer that has one.

It's similar to most of the 90s Japanese stuff that was limited to 280ps or 276hp of the era due to the gentleman's agreement, and most of those cars did 0-60 in 4.9-5.5 seconds as well.

Hi all,

New to the forum, but felt I needed to join having just ordered one - a Circuit Pack in white.

Too many good reviews and something so different from Toyota that it was a no brainer, although I do accept it's not cheap for a small car, but when will we next see something similar to this again from any manufacturer?

Mine's coming in March and I plan to keep it long term - can't wait!

Welcome to the forum. Great to see that a brand new car is able to bring new members to PistonHeads. When was the last time that happened?

Lol. I wonder if it could also be the switchover point from port to direct injection, and the factory tune just isn't optimised enough to tune that out?

Wow, what a well-written review. I can't remember the last time I read a review that felt like I was actually experiencing the car. The reviewer must have thought the car was extra special given how it was written.

So looking forward to my circuit pack Yaris GR being delivered in the new year. Don’t think there will be too many around initially,so looking to have some fun in the winter weather before summer track days.
Will keep you all posted on how I’m getting on with it 👍

Those power and weight figures are very very similar to my 996! Incredible progress really.

Track and road evaluation

Look at the consolidated road outcome ... the best by a margin ... and better then a 992 911 on track ?

Strange EVO (ECOTY) just placed the M2CS 1st and 765LT 2nd. This Yaris was 4th overall.

Different testers different opinions. What is consistent is the mclaren and the Toyota and there’s 1 of them I can afford.
