What?
I think that was a fashion joke.I have no idea who any of those people were or if they were famous or not, but it did seem odd to see a thread about BMW's latest monstrosity include lots of, err, 'challenging looking' people at a party.
I did feel comforted by the picture of Alan though, good old Alan .

I think the whole thread just got very odd..... But it made more sense when I clicked the link.

If you look closely, it’s not just “a” party, it’s a BMW party. And by really squinting at one of the photos I’ve made out the very same kidney grill nonsense that everyone is up in arms about. Implication - these are the types associating with this model.
I’d rather be up with the partridge myself.

Yeah I did eventually cotton on it was a BMW party to show how on trend it now is with these youngsters. Implication - these are the types associating with this model.

I must admit I almost stopped reading at the phrase "on point". It's pretty clear to me now that the giant-XM-turd with the accompanying nauseatingly pretentious avant-shyte advert isn't just "not aimed at me" but is in fact a huge "fck you" from a company that no longer wants any of my money. To that extent I must also admire the campaign for it's effectiveness.
They don't even know you or your money exist, a big "fck you" aimed at you? What a pompous, entitled and childish post. Wills2 said:

Oh no I've upset the M trim fan boy club. I was thinking more of a collective fvck you rather than a personalised one but sure, you take the words "not aimed at me" and "fvck you" and rearrange them into whatever upsets you the most. How was the party? Is it cool not to smile now or what?Edited by anonymous-user on Sunday 12th December 12:24

Just saw this pop up on my feed and looking at who attended it seems to confirm what others have posted. This vehicle is not aimed at pistonheads or car enthusiasts.

Ha ha ha, sure.
Imagine being the sort of person that would go to something like this in the first place.

I mean, we are all the centre of our own universe.
BMW’s advertising (or anyone else’s for that matter) is targeted at certain demographics.
Traditionally BMW targeted middle class men with golf clubs who like sports saloons.
As a middle class man with gold clubs who like sports saloons the shift of their most premium product away from me is a bit of Fvck you.
So they won’t get any more of my hard earned post tax income until they start making elegant RWD super saloons again.
Don’t see what’s pompous or childish about that?

Ho Lee Fuk and his mates. If this is aspirational we have a lot more to worry about than EV’s, boys! I can’t tell the blokes from the women. The future is looking like a very dodgy place.
