To avoid people parking entirely on the pavement to avoid the yellow lines!
This seems to be fairly obvious to most of us.
Both,
Its not really a case of obvious, but more a case of common knowledge.

What is scary, is that someone who has been a member of a motoring forum for over 200 months has been driving around completely ignorant of it.
Christ knows what other assumptions he is applying to every day laws.

Yeah fk it, just park it right on the footpath, not like the car park was virtually empty.
How can anyone think this is ok??
I saw an old lady driving her car down about 4 rows on these recently - straight over the zebra crossing on all of them without a care in the world. Would have got a photo but just stared disbelievingly!

It's not shopped - you can see the shadow of the photographer and there are several other photos of the scene. In addition, why would Scotrail put a "badly" shopped photo on its Twitter feed? rolleyes

Made BBC, although I agree, it looks a little shopped due to the lack of shadow from the car. The track reflection on the car is a good sign it's real

Somehow that still look photoshopped to me. That must have been a nightmare to get back up, with the power line above. Did they have to switch it off?
