If you want to lose an evening watching a LOT of this sort of stuff, just type SEMA 2019 into YouTube.

(no doubt been mentioned before, but anyway)

A lot of work gone into it but just not for me, and those wheel would hate to clean them and dread to think how many times they took to mill out to make looking like wires!

I hate to even add a minor criticism.. but its also one of the things that never works on these modern takes of classic designs - that design needs more rubber!! E Types don't look right on low profile tyres.

..also the front end is starting to lean towards Ferrari California territory which is all kinds of wrong for a Jaguar boxedin

I like it but its starting to look like an early vette. Definitely built for the yank market that.

A bit nitpicky when a few posts above there’s two bikes made out of VW wings and something else sawn in half. hehe

Too Subtle a chop?

Good work! Needs recognition clap
Very subtle....was thinking a chop would be sacrilegious given the iconic profile but I do like the result...if you're at a loose end could you go another inche and a half to see how that looks?

Like the rear lights. Hate the wheels and bonnet scoop.

I was the same, Foose's E-Type is stunning, it just has too big a wheel.

The best custom E-Type will always be the Eagle Speedster or Low Drag GT.

Agree. It’s difficult to successfully pull off an evocation (or whatever you want to call it) of a classic (as David Brown Automotive proved smile)

A treat from my local car show today. It was also a manual.

Yep, the Americans won't consider anything smaller than 20" wheels. It spoils a lot of otherwise nice cars.

The problem is that a lot of old yank cars, Impala's etc, have such big wheel wells that you need big wheels for the car to look half decent. 22" wheels and 11" wide on the rear sort of thing.

But they can look a whole lot better with smaller diameter rims (eg 15” or 16”) and higher profile tyres to fill the arches (IMHO).

This... width is fine, it's the stupidly low profile tyres that make them look st.

Beautiful apart from being completely ruined by the ridiculously large wheels and gash calipers. Sometimes less is more...

Ok maybe a few less inches in diameter and a bit more rubber wouldn’t have hurt.
(But generally subtlety isn’t a strong theme at SEMA hehe although the workmanship and imagination on display is fantastic IMHO)

But the interesting thing here is that someone has machined ‘wires’ out of one solid lump of metal.
