The roof air intake is a £35K option.

Supposedly gives more intake noise and probably improves air intake to the engine but seems to be more cosmetic than functional. Looks like you have to have a whole new CF roof if you want it.

intake air scope for higher speed cleaner air to each intake filter for each bank of the V8
It is CF and the inside has tuned ducts in the roof that you can see, you can also hear the air speeding through it.
On the LT's with the extra camera pack/track telemetry there is also a camera built in to the ducting

Wow that is pretty awesome to be fair. Still an expensive indulgence nevertheless but I suppose if I was creating my own MSO 675LT I wouldn't really be too bothered about the price. intake air scope for higher speed cleaner air to each intake filter for each bank of the V8

I was offered a slot for a 675LT spider but couldn't get my head round the £100k + MSO costs difference to a 650 spider. So I bought a 650.
I am constantly amazed at some of the stuff people ask MSO to do and what they pay for it!

Carbon Fibre seems a easy way for manufacturers to increase profits on cars these days. The interior of the roof scoop does look really good but how often would you notice it?I was offered a slot for a 675LT spider but couldn't get my head round the £100k + MSO costs difference to a 650 spider. I love the idea of a 991 GT3, a close friend recently sold his for a great profit!
That said I'm 110% convinced my 650S spider suits me better than a 991 GT3 and I do feel the difference to my mates GT3.
No way you will get a 991 GT3 for £100k, more like £150k now!
A new 650S can be had for £210, I'm happy I notice the £60k difference
Also very sure the extra £100k to go to a 675LT of similar spec would not give me a car better suiting car.
All that said each to their own

"How often would you notice it" is a mute point for hypercard owners. Take Mr 650/675 owner....how often would they notice the difference in their £200k/260k car compared to the guy in a £100k 991 GT3?
It's "moot point". MOOT. Sorry, had to get it off my chest. Oh, and "hypercar".Davey S2 said:

Apparently the sound is very obvious from the inside. However it does look a pretty tricky piece of carbon fibre to get right visually which the owners would expect/ demand so I am not surprised it costs so much.Europa1 said:

Glad you said it. I wanted to immediately. Back to the original point regarding the roof scoop and carbon roof: "How often will you notice it?"
Solid silver collar stiffeners. You know You are wearing them.
Enough said?
