Wow that’s truly shocking! Bet the driver of the grey car never new what was happening it’s just had the top sliced straight off! Surely that truck must be knocking on 150mph there didn’t even brake or attempt to go around.

I stopped it almost immediately after the accident - the pickup was being pursued by police?
From looking at the rear cam they were on scene in seconds with lights flashing as soon as they came into view. I'm guessing they were either chasing and had lost ground or they were trying to catch up to attempt to stop it.
Awful footage.
At the start of the clip you can see 2 police cruisers parked up watching the traffic with lights on, I guess this idiot must have flown past him and the police are simply playing catch from a standing start up due to his massive speed before the impact.

I had a strange one today. https://youtu.be/MP9M3_vAqWo?t=50

Keep your eye on the vehicle in the distance in lane 1. My error was failing to anticipate just how badly they were about to drive. I should have backed off when they moved to L2.

Not quite sure why you attribute some of the blame to yourself there; you dealt with the situation perfectly and the other driver was the only one in the wrong as far as I can see.

It appears as though the rumble strip woke the idiot up just in time to prevent them from colliding with the central reservation barrier.

At the time I thought "why is he moving out to L2?". Given there was no logical reason for that I think I could have done better anticipating that he might just sail on across my bows. As ever, it was a bit closer than it looks in the video.

So I reacted well enough when he came all the way across, but I think I could have taken a slightly more defensive approach when he moved out from L1. Live and learn...

DCW in the US posts videos of his own bad driving on YouTube and gets arrested as a result: https://kutv.com/news/local/uhp-uses-suspects-own-...

His video "How to Drive: Why I drive the way I do" explaining his superior driving skills is particularly special: https://youtu.be/_vO2jeGt9TY
Worth watching to the end where he demonstrates one of his techniques.

I think that was fine from you - there was no reason to expect them to go L1->L2, but you left enough room to move smoothly over to L3, then plenty of time to brake and get yourself out of trouble when they carried on. Their rate of movement across in front of you increased as well which didn't help.
