Had to pop into a supermarket today to get my lunch, and used this particular one because they have a designated Buses Only bay ,which my 16 seater fits in just nicely and i dont have to take up 3/4 bays in the car section.
so when i turn the corner i espy some 4x4 sitting in it. Hmm deffo not a bus, so i just rolled up behind it,and popped into the shop.

On the way out i saw a young manager with his head going around like a love sick owl, stopping once he saw me.

Oh oh i thought fox is going to get a bking, but the conversation went like this

YM 'We have some women complaining about your parking. they are blocked in'

Me ' oh well they shouldnt have parked in the bus bay then should they?'

YM 'well can you let them out?'

At this point another manager hoves into view who appeared to be the store manager. nods at me and says to the other guy

'Its her again, that pi key looking one, too bloody lazy to walk'

Me 'so shall i move the bus?

SM 'No fk her, go and have a coffee!'

I didnt as i had a pick up but if i hadn't..........but when i did get back i made sure everything was ok and stowed correctly before reversing out very slowly..i mean i didnt want to hit a pedestrian.
You could see the steam coming off her.

Another supermarket car park one here; walking across the nearly empty car park today I see a family in a Galaxy who have parked well out of the way with no other cars around. They have all 4 doors open and obviously loading shopping/children into the car when someone in a battered vectra drives up, stops level with them, then puts on full lock and turns into the space right next to the Galaxy, stopping halfway to blare their horn as the open doors were in their way.

He could have selected a dozen other spaces, even the two spaces one-removed on both sides of the Galaxy, but no, he wanted the one right next to the Galaxy rolleyes

Hate people like that.
Not long ago I'd parked at the back of Tesco car park with no cars around, as I opened the door to leave an XF swung into the space making me close the door again so he didn't hit it. To be fair he did apologise without me saying anything, which made me feel better, but still annoyed me why he chose that space despite their being loads of others.

Driving home from work yesterday, I took the back roads, as the A1 was busy.
Due to the fact that it was dark , wet (pissing down, actually|) and the road I was on is unlit and had some fatalities recently, I thought I'd take it easy.

I was happily pootling along at 50-55 when I noticed a set of lights gaining quite fast in my rear view mirror. I carried on as normal and when I looked again my mirror was filled with blinding Xenons and a Volvo grill. This went on for some time, with the car sat up my chuff, despite the conditions. The Volvo then overtook me quite aggressively on a bend, and to my surprise it was a V70 ARV!eek The copper in the passenger seat gave me a stare and wagged his finger.

They then caught up with a 1 Series in the distance and proceeded to do the same, before putting the blues on and pulling him.

Is aggressive tailgating a standard Police tactic these days?confused

Yesterday was parked in a fairly small car park outside some shops, was fairly busy but the space to the right of my car was empty when I returned to my car. As I was about to back out of my space a black Volvo appeared, and rather than stopping and letting me reverse out, proceeded to squeeze around me with some difficulty into the space to my right, before the passenger struggled to get out due to the confined space - and then mouthed something at me (couldn't tell what) before stalking off.

If they had let me back out (I was waiting to leave and my reversing lights would have been on) they could have parked and got out with no problem, but no, they had to make things difficult from themselves and then seemingly blame me. Cocksuckers.

It always amuses me when people complain that somebody has parked next to them, as if they have a god given right to have clear spaces either side of them for the duration of their stay. How dare anybody park next to my car.

A space is a space irrespective of where it is and who is parked next to it, they are all fair game.

People that see you getting into a parked car, assume you're going to move immediately and then proceed to block the road waiting.

What the point that Carlove opened his door without checking and nearly hit the car of another driver parking next to him, and considers that driver to be a knob?

Maybe not then wink

I think it's more to do with being the only car in a car park or in a set of bays - in the middle of nowhere with tons of OTHER spaces yet the throbber comes and parks NEXT to you. I agree with everyone else, if there's loads of spaces around and they chose to park next to you then they're knobs. Sounds like you're one of these knobs.

Bit of a funny one today. I have noticed a pattern of behavior.

If I'm rolling along at the speed limit and if I catch someone more cautious who has tinted windows; they slow right down. If I catch up to someone with normal clear glass, sit two seconds behind and they carry on as normal. With tinted windows they nearly all slow down; all the time.

Until this morning it was baffling.

A chap with tinted windows who I caught up to and slowed went to the same place I was going and when we parked up he said...

"I thought you were the Police".

...I was in my twenty year old bright yellow Fiat Bravo. silly

Apparently through tinted windows it looks bright "Police car" white. I remember a show about Police cars on television and how the Z-Cars used to be bright yellow so they would look white on film. Is this the same effect? scratchchin

Glastonbury passes in the windscreen, it's January ffs. Two in my work car park today, yes you went, we get it, so did most others around here (I'm on the Somerset border).

Bonus points for it being placed so as to obscure vision in some way, they're not exactly discreet.
It's vehicles with the 'Woodstock' entry passes you have to be wary of.

You'll have to forgive me as I try to condense this in to as few words as possible. I'm feeling like a bit of a knob but I'd like to be told i'm not one...This is the only place I can share this really at the moment, as its quite anonymous.

A week or so ago, I mentioned on a particular car owner group on facebook that I would consider selling a car for the right price if somebody wanted it. So I invited a guy to come and take a look. He does a lot of poking around, which is fine, but we find some undiscovered rust on said car. Up to that point we were both assuming my asking price or close to it. So, happy with the car apart from this, he goes away to get an estimate and to make me an offer based on that. A few days later and about a grand less than my original hopeful amount, I resentfully agree to said offer after a bit of thought. I refused a deposit though. Car is still with me as we'd not set a date to do the deal yet. Now a couple of days on and I've sort of changed my mind. Not because of his offer, which in all fairness was about right if you were to get the work done properly, but because I've decided i'd rather have the work done myself and enjoy the car for a while longer. Not 100% sure yet but that's how i'm feeling. I'm going to sleep on it tonight and see how I feel tomorrow. I'm on the fence though. Half of me thinks keep it, sort it, enjoy it. Another part of me thinks let somebody else deal with it and good riddance. Car is bloody under my skin though I'll give it that.

haha well it is kind of a moot point anyway, as i'll only be putting the grand into the car myself!
I've taken it out of the post now as I don't think its really relevant. Its like saying i'd buy a GTR if I was given 80k tomorrow.
