This list of advisories is especially eyebrow-raising, as P38’s were galvanised.
As far as I remember the bodywork is mostly aluminium like the RR Classic and Landy/Defender, and the chassis is steel, but not galvanised from the factory.
I don’t believe this to be true.

I’ll accept the chassis might be ungalvanised steel but I’m relatively sure the bodies are galvanised steel.

Greetings from a sunny county Down. I give you a bargetastic S500 388bhp with LPG economy. I think this has been for sale for good while. Not sure if on inspection there are issues but might be because it's big, grey on grey and maybe a bit boring.
I'm a wee bit tempted myself but really shouldn't after the investment I've put into my wagon.

I just found a great car on Auto Trader.

Barging is about the ethos not the vehicle. It's long been that way on here and long may it continue.

Agreed. One might argue only a yank tank really delivers in barge-like tendencies, or a properly shonky 1980's exec express (or any Citroen) but anyone can channel 'the feeling'.

Thread however, calls for financial commitment. Possibly quite often. And patience. Maybe an understanding partner too (the type that accepts anonymous posts on the web as somehow bona fide and sound advice).

A big porker, within a hagglet of thread... some of the usual issues addressed, just a handful of brave pills?

Boring colours but 750i with LPG at £4500 seems OK value.

Random question: Is the 550i the same 4.8 engine as in the X5 4.8is which just isn't badged as a 550?
I think it's the same motor, although it's got a wooflier exhaust in the X5. It's a lovely motor, minus the propensity to leak a bit of oil (but everything nice has some drawbacks). Capable of quite a startling turn of pace in the 5, so I imagine it would be quite amusing in an X5 (especially with the louder soundtrack).

Correct barging requires a proper car. My old 735i is a barge. Next door's Mondeo is not. Those of us with big old cars will never accept 3 Series nonsense or other minnows.

I'd buy that if it wasn't so far away.

I think this is gorgeous but need big brave pants for it. I think it's been for sale for ages too.

Surely you're a couple cylinders short of a proper car

Can't say I think the finish on the wheels on the 760Li are to my taste!

The seats look black or grey, yet the advert says cream? If they're cream, they're in serious need of a clean! hehe

SLK 230, just collected. 81k mileage.

Got a bit warm in stop start traffic (not red zone warm, but about 90-95 degrees). Will need to investigate as suspect not normal!

Otherwise in good nick for a 20 year old car.

It's a crock of st. A part-stripped breaker on a Council estate; you'd have to be certifiable to buy that.

Although the cassette tape on the floor of pic 7 looks intriguing ...

Cute little convertible.

Why is it here?
