The font style and fact it’s a 300 does ruin it.
If it was on a 600 / 60 AMG / 73 AMG it might be a different story!

That was some bargain.... Sold for £6500 + the VAT Etc in January 95....

I think it was owned by a number plate dealer for a few years and only recently got sold.

I'd suspect for a "little" more the the £6500.....

That plate was on a blue Golf VR6 MK2 back in the day, a fully customised one with Audi door handles and all the other modifications people used to do (well, a few people). On one of the magazines the guy said he had the plate to upset GTE drivers!
