The "Sh*t Driving Caught On Cam" Thread Vol 3

Are people seriously trying to blame the DS3 for that accident
Not trying to blame... but pointing out that it was not as simple as the BMW pulling into it's path - i think it was a classic co-incidence of BMW pulling out as DS3 pulled in, and that we can all learn a bit - if he'd stayed in lane 2 just a few feet further the accident would have been avoided.KungFuPanda said:
Even so, if this went to Court, I doubt the Judge would make any liability split whatsoever and make the Z4 driver 100% liable.
Probably... BUTTHE CITROEN DRIVER COULD HAVE AVOIDED THE CRASH BY DRIVING DEFENSIVELY.
If he had read the road, observed the risk of stationary traffic pulling out and stayed in lane 2 the crash would have been avoided. Just because it is the BMW at fault - does not mean that the DS3 could not have taken an active role in avoiding the collision.
This is really basic stuff. Reading the road, noting the risks, and driving defensively. I'd expect car enthusiasts to 'get' it.

Have you not visited this thread before? If a car crashed into a tree then some people here would somehow manage to blame the tree. It would be pages long with google map links and various drawings in MS Paint. Nobody ever changes their mind so I've no idea what anyone is trying to achieve that having a wk couldn't resolve in a lot less time.rambo19 said:
BMW is a knob, pure and simple.
Another driver who thinks the indicator is an automatic right of way!
Looking at the BMW lane position and the camera I can't work out how he had a clear view of the carriageway.Another driver who thinks the indicator is an automatic right of way!
Also we all know what nobber BMW was going to do after he'd pulled out.
100% BMW fault can't see how anyone can defend it.

No-one is. Some people are saying that they can see how it happened. Also we all know what nobber BMW was going to do after he'd pulled out.

We are also commenting on how the D3 could have avoided it also - even though it was not his fault.

I can understand the confusion from the driver of the Mini. What on earth is the point of the set of traffic lights at the far end of the yellow box in the centre of the road on the crossing point, so far beyond the stop line they actually relate to.
I guess so, to me they're obviously there as a repeater set, and obviously they wouldn't put traffic lights making you stop in a yellow box.... but this is the Council we are talking about FredAstaire said:

ffs.
Yeah, I'd be pissed off if an Amber gambler crashed into the back of me too.ffs.
Put some glasses on and watch the clip again. There was no stop line, he stopped at the repeater lights. Assuming there was no accident, the traffic to the right wouldn't have been able to turn right thanks to that tit stopping where he wasn't suppose to.

I can see why the Mini stopped but as there's no stop line it can't be enforceable, surely? Hopefully the dash cam footage helps in any insurance claims. As for amber gamblers, there are times when a car is up your backside and stopping would cause someone to smash into you, had it plenty of times and risked ambers without red light cameras as I'd prefer not to have an accident.
