DMO Deejay got banned by VMax because he filmed himself on his phone one handed while doing 200mph+ runs in his E63 whilst also not wearing his seat belt. Meanwhile he had a bit of a falling out with Ricky from LLF as a result of arguing about who's car is faster. Ricky 'jokingly' said that his R35 GTR would be faster than DMO's tuned E63. Ricky then ate his words and said that it was silly of him to think his car would be faster (because it wouldn't have) and then says he'd race DMO's E63 in his Evolved tuned M5....when it was finished and ready (5 days at the time IIRC). DMO get's impatient and calls Ricky out for a race straight away. Ricky says that he can't because his car won't be ready like he said. DMO keeps on calling him out regardless and then Ricky turned up to race DMO in an identical M5 from evolve - it's the famous grey 1000hp sts on everything car if you're interest. It was on Carwow the other week.Somewhere in that (I can't remember exactly) Ricky bet DMO £5k that the M5 would win....when it was ready but turns up in matey's M5 instead within 24hrs like I said. DMO gets pissed that he didn't bring his car and the 'beef' escalates. 2nd day at VMax rolls around soon there after. Ricky is there with his now finished M5, loads of other Youtubers where there too. DMO shows up halfway through the day uninvited with two guys. Ricky sees DMO walking over and get's out his car ready for a fight and says something along the lines of "come on then you lovely and caring individual" and stupidly throws a punch at DMO. DMO then fights back and landed a punch which knocks Ricky to the ground next to his car, and as he tries to get up one of DMO's mates comes and tag teams him with DMO and just keeps punching him. DMO stops hitting him after about 10 seconds but then his mate in the grey tracksuit keeps on hitting Ricky until he eventually gets away, but then both DMO and grey tracksuit bloke come back and try to finish him off.
TDLR; DMO got banned from an event for braking the rules then came back and started a fight over his own misunderstanding which was a result of Ricky making a stupid bet about how fast his GTR was. It's all a load of bks really.

This bit is all that matters. And DMO punched him in the face when he was down. Disgraceful.Although DMO makes me laugh, he does seem two-faced.

IIRC Vmax used to be invitation only, in that you could be referred by someone already on their list and be able to attend. Once you had attended and assuming you didn’t behave like a massive cock you would then be on the list for future events.
The event certainly had fewer numbers back then presumably because of this approach. It was quite expensive, but you got the runway time, you got the safety, security and superbly organised day and you were with folk that were not there to swing dicks. Rather like minded people with a rich and varied collection of interesting cars with whom you could chat about them.
More recently I see that Vmax has opened up to a more general attendance policy and the numbers have grown significantly. Inevitably this increases the risk that something like this might happen, especially with the proliferation of Vloggers and Instagram Influencers more noticeable these days, most of whom are idiots in my opinion.
I am no elitist, so I get the evolution of the event to attract more participants and give more people access to this type of event and in itself that is not a bad thing, but it has to be managed carefully. Sadly as you increase the accessibility there is a chance that mindless idiots may attend.
I do not think it is fair to lambast Vmax for this sorry episode right now. They have issued a statement and I take that at face value. You have to assume that folk that have paid to attend will act like mature responsible adults.
The true test for them is what they do going forward. A ban for life for those directly involved plus extra security both at the gate and around the event itself would be where I would be going. If that pushed the price up a bit, then so be it.
Maybe also a review on maximum numbers for future events. Again, this will impact the price to attend, it is a balancing act.
I have attended Vmax before and it was great. I would like to attend again. This episode won’t put me off as I am sure that Vmax will do everything they can to make sure it doesn’t. Auto Vivendi has a reputation to maintain and standards to uphold.
I am probably wrong, but Nick and Arthur might have been the person who recommended Ricky. The event certainly had fewer numbers back then presumably because of this approach. Should have been easy promotion for vmax events.

LLF is significantly more likeable. Good luck to him.
I agree. No judgement from me, school system probably failed them, but doubt many people hold them up as role models.

Bearing in mind it's a live base with armed guards and you have to be checked in and show ID to get in and be checked off a list, I can't see this happening again even if people wearing cravats turn up.
The fools with "beef" will you'd imagine be banned now, and bearing in mind everyone else there behaved impeccably at all previous events it's a non issue going forward you'd assume.
Given one of them was banned from the event the day before and yet still got in anyway I'd say it's not exactly hard for it to happen again The fools with "beef" will you'd imagine be banned now, and bearing in mind everyone else there behaved impeccably at all previous events it's a non issue going forward you'd assume.
Some of these big "YouTubers" seem to have an inflated sense of drama/status, so it wouldn't surprise me if that one guy said "VMax came into my inbox, disrespected my family, because someone narc'd me out....and you know what - it was you!" followed by a "I never narc'd on nobody! I never narc'd on nobody!"
