I'd take a classic over the latest all singing hybrid super winged eleventy gazillion horsepower gull wing door hyper car all day long. Even what were mundane daily drivers have way more style and kerb appeal. I appreciate this is subjective but it's still more fun to go fast in a slow car.
100% this, you can drive an underpowered car at 9/10ths whereas most supercars are driven at 1/10th. Hey everyone
So I’ve just had a private message from the chap with the blue pista. Tge_ldnm and I have to say he does come across as a pretty sincere guy, he’s obviously passionate about his cars. So yeah, that was nice. I’ve still not seen his videos yet so can’t really comment on the show/channel but he does come across pretty sound over text.

I've had a pop at TGE before but TBH (apart from his sellout watch adverts etc, but hey, gotta make that money so kudos to him for that) I've definitely warmed to him and his chaos over time, he just seems to buy what he actually wants, not just what is going to get the views.
His Pista still definitely makes my eyes water though, no way I'd ever spec a car like that, especially a 300k one TBH, but it's his money so crack on LAD!

Harrys Garage is pretty good but its definitely more for people who remember shillings and still type with one index finger.
Really? My 20 year old son loves his videos and so do I. My son met him once at a car event around 4 years ago, he was as nice as you think he is..G

I like his 996. In fact, I nearly bought one.
Aha, you were nearly 'influenced' there mate, be careful, you'll have a Huweai phone and some random watch next Surprised more of these people don't buy cars with some style though. It doesn't have to be about silly price tags and star ship performance! I see Monky London has started modding an E30 though.

Buying a 996 isn’t a wise move to a classic car as they were generally just awful.
A bit harsh. Not the most loved of 911s admittedly but given the price of all air cooled models have gone stratospheric (unfortunately) and the more modern watercooled cars are still generally strong money these are probably the only real 911 bargains left at the moment.I'd love a 996 like Jethro Bovingdons.

Scruffy as f**k but all the more reason to get it out on some good roads thrap the arse off it rather than keep under a £500 car cover in an air conditioned garage.
On the subject of building a car collection that was discussed earlier, "The Car Guys" seem to have a nice balance of new and older Supercars and they are quite refreshing to watch compared to some of the other popular Youtubers. There is no hatchback in the mix though but there is an Integra Type R amongst his Ferrari and Porsche collection. Also, i believe he's now sold the F40 that was featured in the video link below. Not sure if they've had a mention here before but they're definitely worth watching if you've never seen their stuff.

I've just watched this Super Cars of London video with Carl Hartley (the son of supercar dealer Tom Hartley) in it. They're going through his showroom and explaining the cost of each car on finance.
Carl Hartley is actually a really funny guy, the video is definitely worth a watch.
Me too. I normally avoid JWW and SoL, too Hooray-Henry for my liking, but more insightful than I thought it would be. Carl came across really wellCarl Hartley is actually a really funny guy, the video is definitely worth a watch.
Almost makes me want to buy a car from him if I had 2 million spare
15k down and £1375/month, 36 months, 100k balloon.
Accept you're going to give the car back at the end of the deal and that's actually not beyond the realms of creative man maths.
IIRC, TH stated this was the most common type of finance deal he arranged with ~1k/month payments.

The last finance deal on the 2017 Lambo didn't sound too bad tbh.

Yeah, I suspect lots of these 1k folks are big salary city chaps neting 6-9k a month so don't miss it too much.15k down and £1375/month, 36 months, 100k balloon.

Still sounds a chunk to my mind to rent a car, knowing it will be handed back with little equity. Earning 6-9k per month to give away 10-16% of salary to rent a car thats a weekend toy to my mind sounds madness. If you were earning big money and it was an irrelevance such as the footballers etc then perhaps, but to spend that on hire effectively is crazy. Guess its the need it, want it, have it now.
The numbers sound big but in reality they’re probably on line with someone earning £24,000 per year whilst having a Golf GTE or something similar on PCP for £300pcm. That’s a good 12.5% right there. 2manycars said:

Thats a ridiculous comparison as someone on £24k a year may need a new and reliable car to guarantee they'll be at work every day. They can't afford to run around in a £300 snotter, even if the PCP payments are painful.Shnozz said:

That's a fair point, suppose it's all relevant etc. But paying that amount per month to effectively rent it, with little to no equity... nah.Algarve said:
